Dovpo Trigger 168W Intro
Dovpo designs have been somewhat hit and miss over the years. In fact, since their inception in 2006, Dovpo have lagged behind many of the bigger brand names for notoriety.
However, with an emphasis on creating affordable products that are notably customer focused, the Trigger 168W Box Mod is shaping up to be an overall winner. In the greater scheme of things and it could be the mod that puts Dovpo back on the map.

The true qualities of a winner…
The Trigger’s sophisticated chassis design has a Reuleaux-like form factor, with a rounded, front facing edge that incorporates a large, vertical OLED display screen. This screen is flanked on either side by trendy carbon fiber-esque accent panels and there are also discreet ventilation holes alongside these for additional cooling of the installed cells.
The compact zinc alloy frame weighs in at just over 250g and features an anti-slip, matte paint finish that provides an excellent hand feel. This classic, “all black” design is highlighted by a prominent gold firing button on one side and the gold plated 510 connector acts as a great visual tie in to this feature.
The most unique characteristic of the device is the inclusion of three adjustment buttons (compared to the usual two button configuration), which includes a “SET” button that aims to make menu adjustment simpler and easier than ever before. In practice, this means that there is no need to remember complex menu shortcut combinations in order to switch between operating and display modes – thank you Dovpo!
The Dovpo Trigger 168W easily caters for atomizers of up to 25mm and includes native support for resistances as low as 0.1ohms. Plus, with a maximum power output level of 168 watts, it packs enough fire power to serve a variety of vape users with ease.
While Dovpo obviously still have a way to go before becoming a true household name, with releases like this one it won’t be long before they win over the masses for good. And while I cannot speak to everyone’s experience with the brand, from my personal encounter with the MVV Box Mod, Dovpo might just be the next shining star in our midst. What do you think?
