Bigger Harder Better Faster
At TPE2016, GeekVape was showing off two larger versions of two of its popular atomizers — the Avocado 24 and the Tsunami 24. With the burgeoning popularity of box mods, atomizers with diameters larger than 22mm are becoming more and more popular. However, GeekVape didn’t simply
walk into Mordor release bigger atomizers. The Avocado 24 and Tsunami 24 have functional improvements that should make them the best versions of these atomizers yet. Here’s a quick look at both.
[And yes, the title of this section was inspired by Daft Punk.]
New Sizes, New Features
The original Avocado, expertly reviewed here by Vaping360’s Kyle Formeck, was praised for its fantastic flavor production and versatility. The Avocado 24 brings all of that to the table and adds a refill system that makes it much easier to add e-liquid when using the atomizer with dual coils. It’s a simple addition that makes the atomizer much more convenient.
The original Tsunami, also expertly reviewed by Mr. Formeck, is widely considered to be a superior version of the popular Kennedy RDA. Kyle loved the original’s flavor and vapor production, as well as its build versatility and silky smooth draw. One complaint some vapers had with the Tsunami, including Vaping360 managing editor Jeremy Mann, was that the deck didn’t have a lot of room for cotton. The Tsunami 24 gives vapers more space for wicking material and offers an option for a squonking pin. With squonk mods becoming more mainstream, this is a lovely addition.
Avocado 24 & Tsunami 24: Super Size Me!
As I mentioned in the intro, the Avocado 24 and Tsunami 24 appear to be bigger and better versions of their forerunners. While it would have been easy to simply release larger versions of these atomizers, I love that GeekVape added functional improvements as well. What do you guys and gals think of the Avocado 24 and Tsunami 24? Do you see yourself buying either in the near future? Kindly share your opinions on GeekVape’s bigger, harder, better, and faster atomizers in the comments section.
