This mod has a very different shape to it than most box mods. Everything is offset with rounded edges. At first I was a little sceptical and thought it wouldn’t be very comfy but after using it, I have to say, props to iJoy!
The design on this is fantastic. A super comfy mod to use and everything just fits perfectly, they clearly have taken their time to make sure this device will be comfy to hold but also super easy to use as well.
Using the iJoy Solo Mini
Like I have said the Solo Mini is super easy to use, all the buttons are really nice and clicky as well as being responsive. The chip is essentially the same as the iJoy Asolo except this only reaches 75w instead of 200w.

What I will say about the Solo Mini is that it works flawlessly. The Taste Control is an awesome feature and definitely works. I’d even say it works slightly better than the Asolo mod and is another step in the right direction! TC works well too, I haven’t suffered from a dry hit on this device yet. And although TC isn’t my jam, it works great if that’s what your into.
Again I have been very impressed with the quality control of this mod. The magnetic battery door is great, no rattle or play, very sturdy yet easy to slide off. The buttons are good and clicky. This mod feels like iJoy’s best yet! It feels like a much improved sleeker version of the Asolo mod. I definitely think this is a contender for the mid wattage range mods.
I really like the design of the iJoy Solo Mini, I love the curved shape with the offset style it works really well and fits perfectly in your hand. The size of the mod is great too, not too small but equally not too big to feel too bulky.
This device is jam packed with features. 75watts, temperature control, taste control. Lots of different modes to experiment with which is a big plus in my eyes. If you get bored of regular wattage mode you can easily test out the taste control mode without needing any new wire or coils. And if you want to, you can use Temperature Control too.
I mentioned this in my review of the Asolo. The screen, in my opinion, feels a little too cluttered. There’s a lot of information on it which is good but sometimes I feel like it’s a bit too much.
For example the E-liquid indicator in taste control, its nice that you get notified when your juice is getting low but do we really need it? I’d prefer if the mod cut the power and gave a message along the lines of ‘E-Liquid Low’ or something like that.
Keep the essentials like wattage/temperature, battery power and resistance and you’ll be onto a winner here iJoy!
This is a fantastic little mod! 75watts is more than enough power, temperature control is great and the taste control mode is a cool addition. There’s a lot of stuff you can do with this mod. All with a super comfy and ergonomical design. If you’re looking for a mid wattage range single 18650 device then definitely take a look at the iJoy Solo Mini!
