Designed By Suprimo, Manufactured By Sigelei
The Sigelei 213 mod and the Sigelei Moonshot are two unique vaping products designed for the company by San Jose, California’s Suprimo Vape. The Sigelei 213 (previewed here) is a variable-wattage box mod with great looks and novel features. The Sigelei Moonshot aims to give the full flavor of a dripping atomizer coupled with the convenience of 2ml of e-liquid capacity. At TPE2016, I caught up with Suprimo Vape COO Aldrich Hsu to get an overview of both products.
Sleek and Powerful
The Sigelei 213 is a svelte dual-18650 box mod with all the features you’d expect from a current box and then some. Capable of firing up to 213 watts, the box has temperature control settings for nickel, titanium, and stainless steel wire. It also allows you to set TCR (temperature coefficient of resistance) or TFR (temperature factor of resistance), for more precise temperature control.
There are a few features that help the Sigelei 213 stand out in a competitive market. First is the ability to set wattage for the initial period of the vape. This lets you preheat or ramp up your coils. Say your sweet spot is 80 watts; you can have the wattage start at 30 or 120 watts for the first second you press the button. Check out the clip above to see this setting in action. It’s a very cool feature that’s fun to experiment with.
Another interesting feature of the Sigelei 213 is its builtin battery balancing. This is a nice safety feature that helps vapers’ batteries discharge evenly. Keeping the battery load even and the battery charges balanced can help prevent failure and venting. Hsu talks more about this feature above.
To the Moonshot, Alice
The Sigelei Moonshot is a small rebuildable tank atomizer (RTA) that aims to bring the full flavor and versatility of a rebuildable dripping atomizer (RDA), coupled with the capacity of a tank. Featuring a two-post build deck with 5mm internal air holes and 3mm wick ports, the Moonshot has ample build space for a small atomizer. Its combination of airflow and juice flow allows it to be used at up to 200 watts.
In addition to features aimed at pleasing enthusiast vapers, I’m a big fan of the Moonshot’s design. I love understated and elegant aesthetics, which this RTA features. Hsu talks about both the practical and aesthetic features of the Moonshot in the clip above.
A Match Made in Heaven
While the Sigelei 213 and Sigelei Moonshot look like great products on their own, they make a formidable combination when paired together. The dark grey 213 and the black Moonshot look brilliant together. More importantly, they vaped outstandingly during the brief time I tried them at TPE2016.
