Halo eVo Intro

Chances are you have recently heard the name Nicopure Labs, best known for Halo e-liquid, and most recently a lawsuit they are launching against the FDA. Believe it or not, I never tried their e-liquid. However, Halo had been around since the beginning of vaping, before it was vaping, and just e-cigarettes.

You might recall seeing Halo e-cigs online or some basic juice flavors. Today we are going to take a look at a few of the many flavors in Nicopure Labs new “eVo line”. A lot has changed since the e-cig days, the juice game is way more evolved and competitive these days. Let’s see how it holds up….

Notable Remarks

eVo e-liquid is available in 10 mL bottles for $6.99 and 30mL bottles for $16.99. The nicotine strengths available are 3, 6, 12, 18 and 24. The prices are not exactly cheap, but definitely an awesome deal for the level of quality you are getting.

I was sent eight sample bottles to try, but they literally have dozens of different flavors.

Our setup

For this review, I used the Mutation XS RDA on top of the Vaporesso Nebula with a dual coil build ohming out to about .2 using five spaced wraps of SS316 wire which is my go-to build these days.

Our review

Tropical Paradox

evo-tropical-paradox

If you have read some of my previous juice reviews then you might know I love a good pineapple vape. Tropical Paradox had that tangy pineapple that I love, smoothed out by coconut and sugar cane. I am not a big fan of coconut flavors in general but I make exceptions for a good pina colada vape.

The coconut is not too overpowering anyway. You get the pineapple upfront followed by the smoothness of coconut and enhanced by the sweetness of sugar cane. I felt like I was on a tropical island getaway, the only problem was the 10mL bottle barely lasted the whole weekend.

Spearmint

evo-spearmint

I am not a big menthol vaper, but I have learned to enjoy a good icy vape once in a while. The best time is when you have a stuffy nose from the flu, cold or seasonal allergies. I was a bit stuffy when I received the juice so naturally Spearmint was the first one that I tried. Very tasty.

If you are into minty, icy vapes, then this is going to be perfect for you! It reminds me of mint gum, not too sweet but with the perfect amount of minty-ness. It was not just a regular pure menthol flavor, there was definitely some more complex spearmint flavoring going on too.

Backwoods Blueberry

evo-backwoods-blueberry

And then there was this flavor. Look, there is always going to be one or two that you are not gonna like right? Well this was it for me. I was just not convinced by the artificial blueberry flavoring used to create this e-liquid, even though I was a fan of their blueberry pastry e-liquid.

I was honestly confused when I read the name of this flavor. Are they talking about Backwoods cigars or just blueberries that came from the backwoods. In either case, I am not fully sold on this one. Just keeping it 100% with you, even though the rest of the line got off to a good start.

Wild Watermelon

evo-wild-watermelon

Watermelon is hard to nail, especially the fresh kind. I don’t even think Halo bothered to do a fresh watermelon e-liquid, but this one is watermelon-esque. It didn’t taste the way I expected it to, but I have to admit it was pretty refreshing and didn’t have that strong melon aftertaste.

The problem with a lot of watermelon e-liquids is that they are either leave a strong aftertaste or don’t taste anything like melons at all. This one definitely has a distinct melon taste, but doesn’t linger afterwards. Overall it is a very smooth and tasty juice for you watermelon lovers out there.

Insomnia

evo-insomnia

I understand Insomnia is a grape flavor but I was a bit surprised by how this one smelled and tasted. Don’t get me wrong, I get grape, but it has almost like an energy drink taste to it. I enjoyed this one because I love grape vapes, but don’t expect it to taste like fresh, natural fruit.

If you enjoy energy drinks, then give this flavor a shot. It is refreshing and unique. Although there is probably no menthol in it, Insomnia does have a little bit of coolness to it on the exhale, as opposed to their dessertier liquids which have a much warmer finish to the throat.

Cobalt Crush

evo-cobalt-crush

Honestly when I first vaped this stuff, I had no idea what to expect from the name. I am guessing it is a reference to their cobalt blue bottles, or the fact that this is a blueberry pastry flavor. The name definitely threw me off but as soon as I smelled it, I knew it was on the dessert-y side.

I immediately thought of those fancy cobalt dessert trays that you see at expensive restaurants. The flavor just has this warm, magical goodness that I can’t put into words. It tastes like a sweet, fluffy blueberry dessert. Cobalt Crush is just a fantastic e-liquid with all-day-vape written all over it.

Fuzzy Summer

evo-fuzzy-summer

Fuzzy Summer was very satisfying for me, I tend to enjoy the warm and sweet, dessert vapes. It has a real nice peachy taste with a smooth creamy finish. It isn’t too sweet and is mighty tasty. There is not much to say about this one, it is literally peaches and cream in a bottle. Delicious.

This one was kinda in between a fruity and a dessert flavor for me. It has the peach fruitiness coupled with the smoothness of cream. Huge all-day-vape potential, especially for peach-lovers.

Cryptic Blast

evo-cryptic-blast

Cryptic Blast is another tropical fruit flavor blend, its mystique is part of its appeal. I personally taste some berries in there, mixed with something tropical, I’m going to say mango nectar. I am not an expert on tropical fruits but this one definitely has that tart, tropical sweetness going on.

If you like tropical e-liquids, then this one is up your alley. It’s tangy with a bit of mango to smooth it all out. There might even be some guava in there too but we might not ever know. Have you tried Cryptic Blast by Halo yet? What fruits do YOU taste? Leave a quick comment….

Verdict

I gotta admit, I was a bit apprehensive to try the eVo line. Knowing what Nicopure Labs are doing for the industry that I love, it was easy to get behind them, never having tried their products. They say the proof is in the pudding, and the pudding was good, so I can now proudly support Nicopure Labs!

I love how eVo’s product descriptions are simple, and get straight to the point. They are not overly complicated or pretentious like many others. I think between all of the flavors they have, there is an eVo all day vape out there for everyone.

Yes, there were one or two (out of eight) that didn’t impress me, but the other six were nice. I’m not going to say that this was the best juice I have ever vaped, but I enjoyed it more than a lot of other popular juice companies that I am not even going to name. What did you think of the eVo line?
