Anyone that uses a JUUL frequently should have a portable JUUL charger case. It’s probably the smartest accessory for the JUUL. After all, no one likes to have their JUUL battery die and then have to wait for it to charge. Portable charge cases like the BRIK charger eliminate all that hassle.
The BRIK is a compact and lightweight JUUL portable charge case that can fully charge a JUUL up to three times before it needs to be recharged. But the best way to use it is to not wait at all for the JUUL to die. You can store the JUUL and charge it at the same time.
Whenever your JUUL is just hanging out in your pocket, the BRIK charger can keep it charged and away from the dreaded flashing red light.
Colors: steel grey, navy blue, rose pink, and orange
Price: $30.00
Although this charger is called “BRIK,” it only weighs 58 grams, and it’s thin too. It’s less thick than two JUULs on top of each other. If there’s anything thing remotely close to a brick about it, it’s the rectangular shape and the BRIK’s durability.
Unlike several other JUUL charge cases on the market, the BRIK feels like it can be dropped without breaking. If you’re a clutz like me, this is a huge benefit.
I love that there’s storage for an extra JUUL pod. The PCC that JUUL sells doesn’t even have that. The charger and extra storage should allow a couple days usage out of the JUUL without any extended wait times. This is great for the day-to-day grind or weekend travelling.
My biggest gripe with the BRIK is that the magnetic connection for the JUUL isn’t very strong. If you drop the BRIK charger, the JUUL most likely will pop out…although the extra pod will stay put.
Using the BRIK is as simple as it can be. Just drop a JUUL into the battery compartment and your JUUL will begin to charge. It does charge even if you have your JUUL turned around where the LED is facing the wrong side (not facing the LED cutout), but you won’t know when it’s done charging the JUUL. So when you insert the JUUL, make sure you can see the charge light through the LED window so you know when your battery is charged.
It takes a full hour in the BRIK to charge the JUUL battery from a dead state. And you can get three charges from a full BRIK battery. The total charges as well as the charge time is equal to the JUUL PCC.
The BRIK has three lights that correspond to full JUUL charges left.
If you just keep the JUUL in the case constantly charging it before it’s dead, consider each of the charge lights to indicate 1/3 charge time left. As an aside, if you have a dead JUUL battery in need of a charge, but you really need a hit, the BRIK can charge the JUUL enough for a couple emergency puffs in less than 90 seconds.
Charging the BRIK itself happens through a standard micro USB port at the bottom of the device, and it takes approximately 65 minutes to be charged. The charge status of the BRIK is the same as the three lights for remaining charges. Once the LED turns solid green, it’s full.
The BRIK charger is a solid portable charge case for the JUUL. It kept my JUUL consistently charged for a short weekend getaway without my JUUL or the charger ever dying. But, of course, the BRIK charger is not the only JUUL charge case available. There are several on the market. Even JUUL has one now called the JUUL Portable Charging Case.
The JUUL Portable Charging Case comes with a 1-year warranty and costs $49.99, but the BRIK comes with a lifetime warranty and it costs $30.00. The BRIK is not as stylish as the JUUL Portable Charging Case, but it’s most definitely more durable. And the BRIK charger and JUUL PCC have approximately the same charge times and total charges.
If you’re like me and prone to dropping things, and would also like to save about $20 for a JUUL charger case, the Brik is a better buy than the one JUUL sells. The BRIK may not be as stylish as the JUUL PCC, but with that extra money you save, you can get another pack of pods.
