Introducing Renova. This new brand spearheaded by Vaporesso was officially launched on June 5th 2018. Vaporesso will keep focusing on vaping technology innovation, as they have done in the past with the CCELL coils and their widely acclaimed OMNI chip. Their aim with Renova is to have a dedicated brand working to improve the performance and quality of pod vapes.
The debut Renova product will be The Zero, scheduled to hit the market at the beginning of July. It will be available in 9 colors and finishes and will retail for around $30.
The Renova Zero is an open-system pod mod with a 650 mAh battery and 2 mL MTL pods. It has a flattened oval-shaped zinc alloy body and an ergonomic mouthpiece. The magnetic pods are made out of medical grade plastic (PCTG) and incorporate a new refill method called PTF (press to fill).
The Zero also comes with an on/off switch, 1.0-ohm ceramic coils, pass-thru charging and features adjustable temperature-control with three available settings:
All products to be released under the Renova brand will share this suite of main features, along with other electronic protections:
PTF – press to fill refill system. Designed to be childproof and better at leak prevention, the PTF opens for filling as you press a dropper into a small concave button. This does away with the industry-standard rubber plugs that rarely seal the deal and are easy to lose.
CCELL TC coils – ceramic coils housing stainless steel wire. Being temperature control-compatible, these coils can prevent dry and burnt tasting hits. The ceramic is supposed to give cleaner flavor and more efficient wicking.
OMNI Board Mini – the miniature version of the popular advanced chipset will be incorporated into the beginner-friendly pod systems.
Auto temperature control – with no complicated menus to navigate, beginner vapers will be able to enjoy the advantages of temperature control vaping automatically.
Temperature-controlled vaping is the most reliable way to avoid dry and burnt hits. Pod vapes are easily the most user- and beginner-friendly devices on the market. It’s encouraging to see that technology married to that type of vape device. Vaporesso has already gotten its feet wet with similar products, like the Nexus, but now Renova is the brand set to carry it forward, beginning with the Zero.
Can Jeremy Mann do a review on this?
OK, I got it and I’ll do the review…
The draw isnt easy and smooth like the smok infinix, but better bat life… so far. Also you cant hit with it upside down, it has to be right side up or it leaks and doesn’t even hit sometimes. Kind of weird. Not sure if I’ll keep it. We’ll see.
Hey Avi, apologies for your previous message getting looked over. I have this device but I don’t have any more coils for it. What I remember from it was that it was almost good, but not quite good enough. I also wasn’t that fond of the fill mechanism, although it did well for keeping the leaking away.
Hey! Thanks.
How does it compare against the Vaporesso Nexus or Smok Nord/NOVO? There’s also Innokin and JustFrog c601
How does this compare to the UWELL CALIBURN 11W POD SYSTEM? Which of the two would you recommend and why? Thanks!
Hi M S. The Uwell Caliburn has more of an elongated shape whereas the Renova Zero is more of a compact style that fits in your hand. They both perform really well, and deliver great flavor. In my experience, the Caliburn pods tend to last a little bit longer than most of the pods on the market, so I would reccommend it for that reason alone, but they are both very solid options.
