SEApods are one of the newer alternative JUUL pods to hit the market. They are slightly cheaper than original pods from JUUL, typically around $12 per 4-pack. The pods hold 1 mL (0.3 mL more liquid compared to the original pods) and contain 5.0% strength nicotine salt e-liquid.
They are currently available in 16 different flavors, most of which are not available from JUUL. Of course they have a few JUUL classics like mango and mint, but the rest are completely new. SEApods seems to specialize in fruity flavors, but they also have many varieties with menthol. They also offer JUUL-compatible batteries and disposable vapes in over a dozen flavors.
The pods were sent courtesy of Vapor4Life for the purpose of this review.
Price: $12.99 for a pack of four pods
The FDA announced Jan. 2 that it will begin enforcing all Deeming Rule requirements immediately for prefilled pod- and cartridge-based vaping products in flavors other than tobacco and menthol. Products sold after Feb. 2 are subject to enforcement if the FDA has not granted them marketing approval through a premarket tobacco application (PMTA). No PMTAs have been approved for vaping products yet. The FDA guidance only applies to products sold in the United States.
Blueberry – I haven’t had such great experiences with blueberry vapes in the past. When I took a puff from this pod, I was thinking “here we go…”, but it actually ended up being pretty darn good. In my opinion, Blueberry was one of the better flavors from the line. It doesn’t really taste like fresh blueberries, but it does have an enjoyable blueberry candy flavor.
Grape – I’ve tried a few other grape pods before from other brands in the past. I generally like the flavors from SEApods, but their grape is nothing to rave about. It’s not bad, but it isn’t something I would vape all day. It has a rather artificial taste that barely reminds me of grape. I’ve personally had other grape e-liquids and pods that were a lot more enjoyable for me.
Lush on Ice – You might be thinking, what’s a lush on ice? It is strawberry mixed with other tropical fruits, on ice; or at least it tastes like that. This is one of the most popular flavors for the Mylé and SEApods did a pretty good job at recreating it for the JUUL. There is just something about this particular blend of fruits that has its own unique taste.
Mango – One of the top-selling original JUUL pod flavors. I’ve personally gone through hundreds of mango JUUL pods in my day. The EApods Mango actually has more of a sweet natural juicy mango taste, which took me a bit by surprise. It tastes really good, and is one of my favorites from the entire line. If you love mango, go for it!
Mango Menthol – If you want an iced mango flavor, this is an excellent option too. I personally prefer the original Mango flavor, but I could see this one being popular with menthol lovers. It has that authentic juicy mango nectar flavor, combined with a cool blast of icy goodness.
Mint – If I could choose one flavor from the original JUUL line-up, it would have to be either mango or cool mint. I really liked the SEApods Mint pod, it’s my favorite out of all their menthol flavors. It has more of a spearmint taste than peppermint (think Doublemint gum.) If you’re looking for a fresh variation on cool mint JUUL pods, you are going to love SEApods Mint.
Pineapple Lemonade – I like pineapple and lemonade, so this one was right up my alley. The taste of pineapple is dominant, but the lemonade adds a bit of tartness to the mix. It’s a sweet flavor, but not in an unbearable way. I think they did a good job with this rather unique blend. I’ve personally had better lemonade pods from other brands, but at least it hits the spot.
Pink Lemonade – One of my favorite e-liquids is a pink lemonade flavor. I have a pretty high standard for these types of flavors. SEApods Pink Lemonade flavor is acceptable, but it probably won’t blow you away. It does have a refreshing citrusy taste, with a very subtle cooling effect. It reminds me of an ice cold glass of lemonade, or some kind of iced lemonade smoothie.
Strawberry – This is a such a popular flavor that I’m surprised JUUL has never produced their own version of it. SEApods Strawberry is solid. It’s not the best strawberry e-liquid I’ve ever had, but it is one of the better strawberry flavored JUUL pods I have tried so far. For the record, I enjoyed it a lot more than their raspberry flavor, and I’m not even a big fan of strawberry vapes.
Strawberry Menthol – Have some menthol with those strawberries! This flavor is very close to Lush on Ice and Raspberry Menthol, but also has its own unique character to it. It has a pleasant candy strawberry taste that isn’t overly sweet, with a nice blast of menthol. If you love icy fruit flavors and strawberry, this is probably going to be your favorite out of the whole line.
There were three other flavors that I didn’t have the chance to try; Blueberry Menthol, Watermelon and Apple. Based on the flavors that I’ve tested, I would expect them to be decent. The original blueberry flavor was actually one of the better fruit flavors, so I can just imagine what that would taste like with a touch of menthol. My favorite SEApods so far were Mango, Mint, Strawberry, Blueberry and Lush on Ice. There were a few flavors that I would not buy like Cotton Candy, Raspberry and Grape, but all in all most of them were decent.
SEApods click into place just like the originals, but they have more of a rounded mouthpiece unlike the boxy JUUL pods, and they feel good on the lips. They look alike, but they are a bit taller since they hold slightly more e-liquid.
It seems like most alternative pods use a different type of heating wire because they are not temperature control compatible. SEApods are no exception. The first puff is always nice, you usually hear a satisfying crackle. The problem is that if you take too many long puffs over a short period of time, you’re at risk of getting a burnt or dry hit. This is pretty standard with most off-brand JUUL pods, but it’s worth mentioning. If you tend to take small puffs, it’s not a major issue. I personally like to take longer puffs, but I had to adapt my vaping style for this review.
Only one pod out of the dozen that I tried gave me a bit of dribbling, but the overall performance was pretty solid. They don’t really leak, unless you squeeze the pod too hard or are constantly popping it in and out of the device all day. Again, this is pretty standard with most off-brand pods. SEApods seem to be slightly higher quality than most of the pod alternatives I have tried so far. The throat hit seems to be a bit smoother than the JUUL originals, despite having the same nicotine level.
The real question is, are SEApods better than JUUL pods? Honestly, no. They are cheaper, contain more e-liquid and offer more options, with some cool flavor options to choose from. As long as you’re not a chain vaper who takes extended puffs, SEApods will perform just fine. Since they don’t utilize temperature control, you will need to regulate your draws manually. Overall, most of the flavors were good, with the exception of a couple that just weren’t my style.
If you’re looking for the best performance, stick with original JUUL pods. But if you are trying to save money and try a bunch of new flavors for your JUUL, they are a nice option to have.

I’m looking for sea brand pods watermelon flavored
There is a link above where you can purchase them. I didn’t personally care for their watermelon flavor, I preferred the watermelon flavor from some of the other JUUL pod brands.
I has a lot problem with this Pods. So far PlusPod and ZPods is better
Hey Marcel, what problem did you have? I felt that the pods performed ok, but the flavors were hit and miss. I will say the new ZPods and a few others now use an updated pod design that tends to work even better. I would also have to say Ziip probably has the best selection of the most decent flavors I’ve tried thus far.
We’re currently working on a review for the Plus Pods, should be online soon!
I just recently got a Juul, so I was shopping around for a compatible pod for it. I came across the Seapods and ended up getting the mango one. I was not satisfied. I just think It taste bland. So word of advice, don’t get the mango! Maybe the mango ice would be better
Hey Lbrooke, there are a few other brands that actually do a pretty good job at Mango, I think Plus Pods was my favorite so far, next to the original JUUL Mango pods. I’m not a big mango ice fan, but most of these brands offer that option too.
You should check out the “mngo” brand (5 pods per pack) if you are really into mango flavored pods. I most liked their strawberry mango (by mngo). I’ve also had their watermelon mango flavor, was pretty good.. and the blueberry mango, which was just ok imo. Strawberry mango is pretty bomb though, such a natural taste overall. Never tried the original mango flavor just bc I’m not super into mango- but they use natural and artificial flavoring in their pods, and it actually does taste legit.
Hey Jessica, interesting. I’ll have to check that out, thanks for the tip. Vape on.
Are sea pods made in the usa?
Hey Crystal, I wonder the same thing. The pods are manufactured in China but they do not really specify whether the e-liquid is made in the USA or not, so I don’t know. A solution would be to find some refillable JUUL pods or just switch over to a refillable pod system that you can fill with your own nic salts, because you’ll run into the same situation with most of the alternative JUUL pod brands out there. Hope that helps, best of luck to you!
I’m late trying the Sea pod. I bought a pack of Mango Menthol and it tastes pretty good. Since we are weeks away from the Feb deadline to stop selling/buying flavored pods I’d be wise to stock up on some of the other flavors you liked.
