Perl intro

Introducing the Perl. An elegant and compact pod mod. It’s refillable and it has a few useful electronic features not seen in many devices of this type. Operating on an 1150 mAh battery, the Perl should be able to give a full day of vaping. And it only weighs 70 grams. I guess a heavy “perl” wouldn’t make much sense.

Kit: $69.00

2/pk pods: $15.99

Colors: Black (with silver trim), White (with gold trim)

Vaping can be stylish

Perl-pod-mod-system

Lately I’ve seen a few new companies popping up with really interesting-looking pod systems. Perl vape is one of them. But it’s not all about looks though. The Perl has some cool features too. Like a touch-sensor to toggle between three power levels: mellow, mild or intense. That’s useful for a pod device because it adds to its customizability. To select the desired experience, just tap the Perl logo. Tap the logo twice and you see your battery level, a feature made popular by the JUUL.

Like many pod vapes, the Perl is draw activated. Just puff on it like a regular cigarette when you want a hit. First fill the 2 mL ceramic-coil pods with your favorite e-liquids and vape when you want. Let’s just hope the refill system is clean and simple.

The ceramic heating element supposedly provides 15 refills before the flavor drops off. Man, if only they had these types of devices when I first started vaping. My old devices would drop off in flavor after the first hit!

Reading from the Perl Vape site, the draw is set up for mouth to lung vaping but is capable of a restricted lung hit. I guess its somewhere in between MTL and DL like a Kandypens Rubi or Aspire Gusto.

An intelligent refillable pod mod designed to fit perfectly in your hand

The downside to many of these types of devices is the battery life. Not the Perl. This thing packs a 1150 mAh battery capacity! According to the press release, it takes about an hour to charge and provides over 12 hours of non-stop usage. It also has a standby time of 90 days, but I’m not sure why you would go that long without vaping it.

Finally, let’s talk about that body. The Perl has a slight s-curved ergonomic shape that looks comfortable to hold. As a vape device, it reminds me of the Joyetech Atopac Dolphin but less gimmicky. I think it looks good. Though, it doesn’t look like it can stand upright. That’s not a big deal, but it’s something to note.

I’m very much looking forward to testing out the Perl and reporting back soon. So far it looks great on paper, but I can’t speak to the experience until I try it. How do you feel about the design of the Perl? Are you gonna check it out or is it just another pod device?

the vapor production is amazing. device quality is also very very good. just a little bigger i think makes up for size in vapor quality!!

Did yours tastes like rubber? I finally got mine in and I’m not feeling it. I think the rubber mouthpiece is tainting the vape… I hope it’s just the mouthpiece. Either way, it’s not turned out well for me unfortunately. Maybe it will change. I hope so.

Got mine for Christmas…this thing is absolutely gorgeous in person! It has a high end feel to it and I catch myself checking it out every now and then…
Used naked nic salt …and the flavor & vapor were better than i was expecting ….didn’t get any rubber taste whatsoever. Maybe you got a defective piece?..What kind of liquid are you running?
Only downside is that their currently only shipping from Hong Kong so was little expensive. They’ll need to find local retailers fast.

I was using unflavored high nic juice (the juice I’ve been using for 4-5 years). It’s absolutely clean on coils and, well, it’s unflavored so any weird taste is not from the juice.

It’s not the pod or the juice, it’s the rubber tip that makes mine taste like that. It has the same taste as the Envii Fit, which also uses a rubber mouthpiece.

If yours is making you happy, I am happy for you!

      Thanks for reading and commenting.

Got mine over Xmas too. Have no issues with the mouth piece, the vaping flavor is great, its also powerful for such a small device, very happy with it. I love the touch sensors, its sleek looking and easily slips in your pocket, something your happy to pull out as well. It’s now available for $59 which is an affordable price for such a premium product. Highly recommend trying it out!
