Vaper on the Street: Your Favorite Things About Vaping

Vaping360 asks the attendees of LA Vapers Club, "What are your favorite things about vaping?"

For this episode of “Vaper on the Street,” I visited LA Vapers Club to ask a fairly broad question: What are your favorite things about vaping? (And yes, this episode was inspired by The Sound of Music.) There were all kinds of excellent answers from the attendees. Most of the responses fell into one of three categories.

  1. Community: A lot of people enjoy the community aspect of vaping. This is something that smoking never had. When I was smoking tobacco cigarettes, I never went to cigarette events to meet fellow smokers to talk about cigarettes. Compare that to the Southern California vaping community, where there are multiple vape events every weekend, allowing for all kinds of opportunities to meet people that have turned to vaping in order to quit smoking. The vape community has allowed people to make connections they wouldn’t have made otherwise. That’s a powerful thing.
  2. Health Improvements: Several people noted that vaping has improved their health. They don’t get sick as much as they used to. Their cardiovascular capabilities have improved. Their tastebuds have grown back. These are all wonderful things. For my part, I noticed them immediately. Shortly after I started vaping, I was shocked to discover that my customary spice level at CoCo Ichibanya was too hot for me. When I was smoking, I could always count on at least one sinus infection a year. Since I’ve been vaping, I haven’t had a single one.
  3. Gear: Several LA Vapers Club attendees mentioned the variety of vaping gear and e-liquids as their favorite thing about vaping. The “geek” aspect of vaping is certainly appealing. A lot of the technology (or really, the implementations of old technology) is new and exciting. There’s a “new new” model out every other month. For tech nerds, gamer geeks, etc. the “gear” aspect of vaping is tremendous fun.

Now it’s your turn! How about you? What are some of your favorite things about vaping? Leave a comment below and let me know.
