Product intro and specs
The Justfog Q16 Pro Kit is a tank-and-mod AIO with adjustable airflow, and a 900 mAh battery capacity. The kit contains a top-fill clearomizer that has a 1.9 mL capacity and an adjustable MTL draw, and the Q16 battery has four selectable voltage levels of 3.5V, 3.8V, 4.1V, and 4.4V with a constant voltage output. The kit comes with one 1.6-ohm coil, though the Justfog website says there is also a 1.2-ohm coil available.
Over the past couple years, Justfog has been putting out some strong pod vapes, but it now looks like they’re embracing the AIO niche. They have several new AIOs coming out, but there are also a lot already on the market from other companies. Does the Q16 Pro Kit bring anything new to the table? Keep reading to find out who I feel this AIO is best suited for. My conclusion may surpise you.

Build quality and design
First off, I have to admit that I’m a fan of Justfog. That’s not to say I’m equally a fan of the Q16 Pro Kit, but I typically do like what Justfog makes. In my experience, they’re a reliable brand that makes affordable, and well-made products.
The build quality of the Q16 Pro Kit is largely without fault. It’s slender, sleek, and lightweight. Even loaded with juice, the whole AIO barely weighs over 60 grams. It fits easily into the pocket although it’s not a stealth device like a pod vape. The Q16 Pro Kit stands at 130.4 mm, which puts it on par with vape pen and tank combos. For the most part, that’s what it is: a vape pen and tank. But technically, the Q16 Pro battery is a mod with an ergonomic c-frame that fits comfortably in the hand.
The Q16 Pro battery device comes with a fire button and bottom-mounted button for selecting your desired voltage (either, 3.5V, 3.8V, 4.1V, and 4.4V). Both of the mod’s buttons have a solid-tactile feeling with a clicky response, and the voltage adjustments are made easy by having a designated button. Each voltage is indicated in a row of four white LEDs toward the bottom of the mod (one light is the lowest voltage, so on and so forth).
The Q16 Pro tank is a clearomizer with a removable 510 drip tip, adjustable airflow for a loose MTL to a tight MTL, and a top fill. The top fill is located under a knurled screw-on top cap. The 1.9 mL tank is filled through small ports seated in a rubber gasket that’s ideally suited for needle, pointy, or syringe filling. If for some reason you don’t have those kinds of tips, which is unlikely these days, you can also fill the tank like an old-school clearomizer from the base. It's not as convenient, but it’s doable as long as you tilt the tank and make sure not to overfill.
Justfog Q16 Pro coil heads
As I mentioned in the intro, the Q16 Pro Kit only comes with one coil: a 1.6-ohm coil head. This was a little disappointing for me, particularly because the kit is supposed to work with two coils and with four voltage levels of the mod, I think you’d need both to get the full benefit of the various power levels.
The coil head screws into the base of the airflow controller like a standard clearo. The head has a 2.6 mm chimney and four wicking slots, measuring about 1.6 mm x 3.6 mm. Of note, the coil inside the head is installed horizontally. I’m not sure why this is, but I’ve found the coil does best with high PG below 50 VG.
In one of the kits I received, I only used high PG (Halo Whisper 24 mg/mL). This is my most used coil so far. I’ve refilled it about 8-10 times and it’s still vaping about as well as it did on the first refill.

Battery life and charging
The micro USB is located on the bottom of the Q16 Pro battery, and it has pass-thru charging. When the Q16 Pro is charging, the fire-button LED is the charge status:
This is one part of the Q16 Pro Kit that really impressed me. The battery life is great. I lost count, but I got around 6 refills before needing to charge again. I’ve noticed this before with Justfog products. Even if the mAh is on par with other kits in its class, Justfog devices seem to last longer than others. It's like they're tuned just right for maximum battery life.
