Charlotte’s Web is one of the most well-known and well-trusted names in the CBD oil industry. The company was founded by seven siblings known as the Stanley Brothers. The brand name originates from the cannabis strain developed for a young girl named Charlotte Figi. The child was finally provided with relief from Dravet syndrome, a rare form of epilepsy, using high doses of CBD oil. Today, her story is famous and CBD oil is being recognized worldwide–not just for children, but people (and animals) of all ages. Learn more about Charlotte’s story and the other benefits and effects of CBD oil.
Today I will be testing out their full spectrum tinctures, capsules and gummies. I’m expecting them to be high-quality, based on their strong reputation. I’ve tried many of the top brands, especially within the realm of CBD vapes and oils. CW doesn’t make any products for vaping currently, but if you’re looking for the upper echelon of quality, I doubt it gets much better than this. According to their site, they test each batch 20 times throughout the production process. All of their products appear to be pharmaceutical grade quality, which can be seen by the lab test results linked to their unique QC code.
I received a 30 mL bottle of chocolate mint flavored tincture. It is labeled 60 mg per mL, which is untypical of CBD oil. Normally they just display the total amount of CBD per bottle, and let you do the math for yourself. If you calculate the total CBD content it comes out to 1800 mg of CBD! The liquid comes in a fancy cardboard box and a glass bottle with a very classy looking label. From what I’ve seen following the QC code, the cannabinoid content is on point, and it contains just under the legal limit of 0.3% THC.
The tincture tastes very earthy, more than most of the full spectrum tinctures I’ve had. It has a very strong cannabis taste, combined with notes of chocolate, peppermint and MCT oil. Honestly, it isn’t the tastiest blend I’ve ever had, but you can literally taste the abundance of terpenes and cannabinoids. It’s not sweet, more on the bitter side. I’m not crazy about the taste, but the effects are there. I didn’t feel high at any point, but I did notice the calming effects in higher doses. It put me in a deep state of relaxation.
Charlotte’s Web CBD oil is rich in phytocannabinoids and if you’re familiar with the taste of cannabis sativa, then you’ll identify that flavor in their oil. The company also offers a few other varieties including Lemon Twist, Orange Blossom and their original formula in 50 mg/mL, which utilizes alcohol extraction instead of CO2.
Charlotte’s Web offers the most premium full spectrum hemp extract you can get. This tincture comes in 30 mL and 60 mL sizes containing 300-600 mg CBD, or 60 mg per mL. It also contains the entire spectrum of phytocannabinoids and terpenes extracted from USA-grown hemp. It’s now available in three flavors.
The formula inside these capsules is very similar to their tinctures, but uses extra virgin organic olive oil. They are ideal for people who want to try Charlotte’s Web CBD, but don’t like tinctures, or just want a more convenient option for traveling. Keep in mind, the CBD oil has to pass through the digestive tract, and your body might not absorb as much of it at a time. I received a bottle of 30 capsules, each containing 25 mg of CBD oil.
The capsules come in a black bottle, and a very fancy looking cardboard box. I am new to taking CBD capsules, but I noticed the anticipated effects after a while. It takes longer to kick in than vaping or tinctures, but it works well if you take enough of it. I also cut open one of the capsules with a scissor and took it sublingually. It tastes a bit different due to the olive oil, but it has the same strong sativa aftertaste. It’s not the best tasting blend, but capsules allow you to bypass the aftertaste of taking it sublingually, which is cool.
Get your CBD oil the clean and easy way. Charlotte’s Web CBD oil liquid capsules contain the same full spectrum hemp extract that they are known for. It is formulated with organic extra virgin olive oil. Each one contains 25 mg with 30, 60 or 90 capsules in total. They’re rich in cannabinoids and essential fatty acids.
Charlotte’s Web gummies come in an elegant jar, and they have a very high-end appeal to them. Each gummy is packed with a botanical blend of lemon balm, L-theanine and natural hemp extract. They contain 10 mg of full spectrum CBD per gummy. These soft green squares of gummy candy look extremely enticing and tasty.
I took the recommended dosage of two gummies, and the effects were very noticeable. I’ve tried CBD isolate based gummies, and they work, but their effects are not as obvious. Charlotte’s Web gummies are so powerful that they can make you sleepy if you’re not used to it. I would suggest starting with one, and seeing how that makes you feel. Two might be a bit too much for your first time, they are no joke!
How about the taste? The thing is, if you like the taste of cannabis, you’re going to enjoy them. They are sweet and chewy, but have a very strong cannabis taste to them. If you’ve ever had strong weed gummies before, then you know what I mean. If you don’t mind the taste of cannabis, go for it, otherwise go for their gel caps instead. The tincture has a similar taste, so the capsules are going to be your most neutral-tasting option. If you’re new to CBD gummies, I would recommend taking one at night for your first time.
Charlotte’s Web offers premium CBD gummies formulated with their signature full spectrum hemp extract. They have three different varieties available which contain aditional ingredients to support Calm, Sleep and Recovery. Each bottle contains 60 soft and chewy gummies with 10 mg full spectrum CBD in every gummy.
All things considered, Charlotte’s Web has some of the best CBD oil I have had the pleasure of trying. Their products are clearly pharmaceutical grade, and super high-quality. If you’re looking for the most effective and highest quality full spectrum CBD oil-based products, it really doesn’t get much better than Charlotte’s Web. The Stanley Brothers are doing a fantastic job at setting the tone within the CBD hemp oil industry. Hopefully more companies will adhere to the standards they’ve set.
The only cons I could come up with is that their products aren’t cheap, and if you don’t like the taste of cannabis, they’re going to be a tough sell. However, their capsules provide most of the same benefits of their oils and gummies, but with less of the hemp taste. They’re the most user-friendly choice. Overall, I’d have to put CW way up there with the top brands I’ve tested.
