Atmos Jump Vaporizer Review

Atmos Jump Intro

Ok, so if you have been following the herbal vaporizer market then you know there have been a lot of pens coming out over the last few years claiming to vape your material but doesn’t. Instead you have a heating coil, similar to those cigarette lighters in cars that essentially burns your herb.

Atmos, has been one of the companies that put out one of the first that I have seen of these type of pens, called the Atmos Raw. Since then, there have been so many imposters saturating the market, that you can now pick up one of these clones for hella cheap if you look in the right places.

Anyway, the Jump claims to be different. It is actually designed to work like a true vaporizer. Could this be the moment we have all been waiting for? At $60 that would make this not only one of the first true vape pens for herb, but an affordable one at that! Let’s just jump right into it with this one.

Notable Remarks

Aesthetics – 10 out of 10

Atmos Jump

First, I should admit that I am a sucker for carbon fiber so as soon as I heard about this product I was excited to see an herbal vape pen made of this material! I think it may be the first that I’ve seen. The one that I received was gold but they are also available in black. The heating chamber is a metallic blue color, due to the type of anodization process they use, which looks pretty sweet. The button is shaped like the Atmos “A” and lights up red when turned on, green when it’s ready. The Jump feels really nice in the hand and is very lightweight and solid. When charging, you get a small red light near the charging port along with a serial number that also lights up in red. They obviously put a lot of thought into the way this device looks, because it is very sleek and stylish. Last but not least, the mouthpiece twists off very easily and has just the right amount of airflow.

Vapor Quality – 9 out of 10

The quality of vapor on this unit was quite impressive. It only has one temperature setting but they really nailed it because you can actually get some decent cloudage out of this thing! In addition to that, the taste is really nice. You can taste all of the subtle nuances of your herbs, most likely due to the ceramic filter, located in the mouthpiece. Another thing I really liked about this product was that I was able to get good quality vapor all the way down to the last puff. Of course, you are not going to get thick, dense clouds but the vapor this thing produces is on-point for an herbal vape!

Quality – 9 out of 10

Atmos Jump Chamber

This unit is well-constructed and feels very solid and durable. I don’t ever want to drop this thing but if I did, it would probably still survive. This is a major plus because many of us are on-the-go and accidents can happen, especially depending on the quality of material that you are vaping.

Convenience 9 out of 10

Atmos Jump USB Port
Atmos Jump USB Port

The Atmos Jump plugs in via Micro-USB port and a full charging cycle takes about 2-3 hours. The 1200 mAh battery provides enough power for a lot of vaping. I was able to get at least 5-6 good sessions with a full chamber. This product is also very easy to clean, after each session just use the brush and just about all of the material will come out. When it starts to get dirty, a little bit of alcohol on a cotton swab does the trick. I also love the way the mouthpiece just pops off with one turn. This pen is easy to charge, use and transport so overall, the convenience factor is excellent!

Efficiency 9 out of 10

This device is actually very efficient, especially for it’s small size. The material is vaporized evenly and once it is finished, the vapor production ends. With other vapes, you sometimes get empty hits but with the Jump, you get nice puffs until the very end. Of course, the first few pulls are always going to taste the best, but I love how you can just rock out with this thing until the raw bitter end. A full chamber doesn’t even take that much to fill up, around 0.2 grams of material, which roughly gives me around 9-10 nice puffs. With this device, I feel like I am getting the most out of my herbs.

Value 9 out of 10

If you would have described this device to people only a few years back and said it was $60 then I guarantee nobody would have believed you. This type of product was virtually inconceivable then and now it is being sold at a reasonable price. If you want a good quality portable vape, go for it! This is great for anyone who wants to get into vaping but does not have a lot of money to spend. However, this would also be a great option for somebody who already owns a good desktop unit and wants the convenience factor of being able to take this thing literally anywhere. Great value!

Likes

  • Very lightweight/portable
  • Easy and simple to use/maintain
  • Affordable
  • Looks great
  • Very durable
  • Efficient
  • Good taste
  • Easy twist-off mouthpiece
  • Auto-shutoff function

Dislikes

  • Single temperature setting (non-adjustable)
  • Small chamber (holds about .2 grams)

Verdict

In conclusion, the Atmos Jump is quite a steal at $60. It’s a pen-style vaporizer that is lightweight and durable, and best of all, it provides a good quality vape. The Jump is not one of those pens that claim to vaporize but actually combusts your material. Atmos has finally developed a vape pen that is small enough to fit in your pocket, and is a true vaporizer that doesn’t burn your herbs! With a carbon fiber body, it not only looks stunning but claims to be one of the most durable vapes on the market. With a 5-year-warranty on all Atmos products, and for the price, you can’t go wrong with the Jump!

Update: Since this review came out, we have seen a bunch of new dry herb vape pens hit the market. You might also want to check out the new Grenco GPen Elite which is the latest advancement in portables from Grenco Science.

I am new to vaping. I purchased the Atmos Jump dry pen and think I may either have a defective one or using it incorrectly. It’s not making vapor and seems to burn the product. I hit it once or twice can taste it a little no smoke and no feeling really. I am grinding and no over packing chamber. Does this product work? Does it produce vapor? Thank you!

Hi, Dave! I bought an atmos jump in a smoke shop in NY. It stopped working two days ago, just three months after buying it. The only thing is that I don’t live in the US, I was a tourist when I bought my vaporizer. I live in Brazil. Is it posible to fix the vaporizer here in my country?
