Blue Moon Hemp CBD: A Big Emphasis on Flavor

Intro

Blue Moon Hemp was one of the first CBD vape e-liquidsI have ever tried. Most of the CBD products for vaping on the market at the time were unflavored additives. Flavor wasn't always the primary focus of CBD vaping. When I tried Red Devil by Blue Moon, that was the first time I realized actually how good a properly crafted CBD e-liquid could taste.

Since then, they have added three exciting flavors to their lineup. Two of them are dessert and cereal flavors and the other is formulated with natural terpene extracts. Blue Moon labels their e-liquids as broad spectrum, and their lab test results show the presence of CBD with trace amounts of CBDV. Their e-liquid is virtually THC free, so vaping it will not get you high and it has more neutral taste than full spectrum extracts. Blue Moon also offers CBD concentrates, gummies and a variety of other hemp-based products.

Blue Moon Hemp e-liquid

Blue Moon Hemp e-liquid comes in their signature cobalt blue glass dropper bottles. They feature the Blue Moon logo and elegant packaging that seems appealing to a fairly wide demographic. Each flavor has a different color trim around the edges. They also have a unique way of labeling their CBD strengths from 100 to 1000 mg which corresponds to moon phases: Quarter Moon (100 mg), Half Moon (200 mg), Three Quarter Moon (300 mg) and Full Moon (400 mg). Their newest and highest strength available is called Total Eclipse (1000 mg).

Blue Moon provides up-to-date independent lab results for their products. Their raw isolate is thoroughly screened for contaminants and pesticides and their e-juice is tested for to confirm cannabinoid content. The CBD content seems to be properly labeled, at least according to the lab tests posted on their site.

Now it's time to crack open these bottles and try these new flavors from Blue Moon.

Pure

Pure is a clean-tasting juice that you can vape on its own, or use as an additive to your favorite e-liquid. I tried it with both fruity and dessert-style flavors and it seems to have a neutral taste. When I put it under my tongue, it tastes a bit sweet, mostly due to the VG content. This is common with "unflavored" CBD additives, but it's less noticeable when you mix it with another flavor. There isn't that much of an aftertaste either, aside from a slight earthiness, which is also common with most hemp-infused e-liquids. I recommend Pure to anyone who wants a clean and natural CBD e-liquid without any additional flavorings.

Kush

I was expecting this e-liquid to have a more prominent cannabis taste, but it was actually rather light and subtle. Kush is infused with terpenes, giving it more of a fresh and slightly citrusy flavor. I have this e-liquid loaded up in my pod vape right now, and it's just like a full spectrum CBD oil cartridge, but without the THC. It's essentially a terpene-infused version of Pure, their unflavored additive. It can also be used to add CBD and a bit of flavor to any e-liquid you choose, but is tasty enough to vape it straight.

Red Devil

Red Devil was the original first flavored e-liquid from Blue Moon Hemp. I am getting a nice berry flavor with a bit of a tangy kick to it. It tastes like a refreshing tropical fruit punch. They describe it as a sinful blend of tropical fruits and berries with hints of guava, papaya, mango and pineapple. It's a bit sweeter than Pure and Kush and it is going to be your favorite flavor in their line if you are looking for a tangy and fruity e-liquid flavor.

Flan

I have been hearing about this flavor for a while, and I'm glad to finally try it. It smells just like the famous Spanish dessert. I think it will be popular with custard lovers, but what I like about it is that it's not your typical vanilla custard. It has an authentic flan taste with sweet notes of vanilla and caramel. This e-liquid also has the ideal amount of sweetness to it. I prefer vaping it, but it also tastes really good when taken sublingually. Flan by Blue Moon Hemp is creamy and balanced, a must-try for fans of caramel and vanilla.

BlackKat

I tried this flavor before actually reading its description. I liked it based on the smell, but I couldn't put my finger on what it tasted like. Then it hit me. Imagine you have a bowl of fruit loops mixed with cinnamon toast crunch and you drink the milk. That's exactly what this flavor reminds me of. The subtle hint of cinnamon adds a little spicy touch. I'm not a big fan of cereal flavors, they're usually too sweet and citrusy. That's not the case with BlackKat. The cereal and cinnamon flavors counterbalance the CBD isolate, making it quite enjoyable. It's a well-formulated cinnamon fruity cereal blend that isn't necessarily an all-day vape for me, but something I would definitely vape once in a "blue moon".

Verdict

I have always known Blue Moon Hemp to have great-tasting CBD e-liquids. They were one of the first that I knew of to offer flavored CBD e-liquids that catered to flavor chasers. Since then, I have tried many other CBD brands, but Blue Moon Hemp has stood the test of time. Out of the five, I really enjoyed Flan, Red Devil and Kush the most.

Their e-liquids also taste really good under the tongue, which is a good indication of quality. I was able to achieve the desired effects of CBD by vaping my normal dosage of cannabidiol.
