The IQOS VEEV is the latest pod vape by PMI (Philip Morris International). It’s the follow up to the IQOS Mesh, which we reviewed a while back. The Mesh had a few things going for it, namely the flavors, but there was still some room for improvement. Hopefully they have taken our critiques of their last release into account when designing the VEEV.
The device is sold separately from the AC adapter and pods. Right now it is currently only sold in some parts of the UK and will be available online at Vaping.com. For now, let’s find out more about what the IQOS VEEV has to offer in terms of design, features and functionality.
Constructed from a single piece of aluminum, the VEEV appears to be lightweight and possibly more durable than the Mesh. It comes in Brilliant Gold, Velvet Grey, Lucid Teal, Copper Rose and Marine Blue. It looks to have a smooth tactile feel and provides vibrational feedback. Aesthetically speaking, it has a modern and sleek appearance which matches its high-tech aspects.
The VEEV shares many of the same features with the Mesh. It utilizes Bluetooth technology for pairing it with your smartphone. The app gives you options to lock the device, track your puff count, change presets and adjust cloud size. It also has a find my vape function that locates your VEEV if you misplace it and an age-verification system to prevent minors from using it.
The device is draw-activated and utilizes mesh-style pre-filled coils. It also has an “intelligent” temperature control system to prevent dry hits and to prevent you from hitting an empty pod. The pods are currently available in four flavors including Classic Auburn, Classic Blond, Green Mix and Classic Mint. They contain 2 mL of e-liquid each and contain 18 mg nicotine strength. The kit is geared towards smokers and MTL vapers and is said to provide a nice tight draw.
The device now has four LED lights to provide battery life indication. It takes about a half hour to achieve a full charge using an AC Power Adapter for a full day of vaping. It can also be vaped while charging. Once the battery has fully drained the lowest light will blink before powering off.
Obviously, the VEEV is geared towards beginner vapers and smokers. The flavors (tobacco and menthol) are another good indication of this. The VEEV is also designed to provide a seamless vape experience without the need for adjusting wattage, pressing buttons, changing coils, filling pods, or having to keep track of your vaping habits. The vape locator feature will come in handy for people who misplace things often. Just make sure not to lose your phone!
If you are looking for a pod system to help you quit smoking with some high-tech features, the IQOS VEEV just might be the one for you. It functions like a standard pod vape, but it also has the ability to sync up to your phone and provide access to some advanced features you won’t find on most devices out there–like haptic feedback, dry-hit protection, puff monitoring and even age-verification. “Charges in half hour”… but lasts 15 minutes. This is a whole bunch of unnecessary. My cigarette never vibrated, so why does this have to? Button and auto-off are more unnecessary features. If I wanted a full vape, I’d go for a real rig. I want something I can pull out of my pocket, hit and put back so I don’t have to stop working without having to worry about them. Flavour is horrible and hit strength is weak. And can we talk about the shape? Sat down with it wrong way in my back pocket and got a real… Read more »
Very slick device. I bought it in NZ and it’s a level up from all of the other cheap Chinese imports out there. Comes with a free accidental damage cover which is awesome as I’m always losing my vapes. Must have if you like pod vapes
Yeah, I hate to admit it but I lose little vape devices. They’re so frequently in my hand, I sometimes inadvertently throw them away when cleaning up my office. I caught myself accidentally trashing one the other day. Oops.
Yep this Veev vape from IQOS is pretty high-tech. Think I prefer the menthol pods, looking forward to some new flavours soon I hope.
How about this battery light..??? Sooooo it just stays on full time? Pretty sure that drains battery super fast and its bright af… not a fan.
Weak as well as per hit, and flavors are all vwry similar, with way far out names to give purchaser a false sense of whats to come… smh
The battery light is a tiny LED that uses almost no power at all.
Does anyone know when the full launch will be? Vaping.com is showing as out of stock for the flavours and still has the old mesh device listed
Joe it has only launched in New Zealand so far but theyll no doubt expand at some point. Wicked device, been using if for over a month and loving it!
Hi Joe, I would check with Vaping.com, maybe you can sign up to their mailing list for updates, but it seems like they will be the first have it available as soon as it’s in stock. Best of luck to you!
