If there is such a thing as a luxurious disposable, the Lost Mary MO5000 comes close to fitting the bill. “Lost Mary” is a new line of disposable vapes from the makers of Elf Bar, so expectations for the MO5000 are high.
The device features a 1.2-ohm mesh coil and 13.5 mL of synthetic nic salt juice in 17 flavor options. It’s powered by a rechargeable 500 mAh battery with a USB-C connection.
The MO5000 offers a relatively loose MTL draw and is rated for up to 5000 puffs. That’s not to say draw on this device is too loose. In fact, the stand-out characteristics of this disposable are that it fires immediately and is extremely quiet.
The clear mouthpiece on the MO5000 is comfortable to use, and the rubberized exterior looks and feels “high end.” The design of the Lost Mary MO5000 conjures up thoughts of Ultem and resin, but let’s look at some product specifications before we get too far ahead of ourselves.
Price: $19.99 (at Mi-pod)
Flavors: Watermelon ice, grape jelly, pineapple apple pear, mango peach watermelon, energy, lemon sparkling wine, cherry lemon, blueberry raspberry lemon, mango peach, watermelon cherry, kiwi passion fruit guava, black mint, citrus sunrise, ginger beer, yummy, watermelon, and blueberry raspberry pomegranate.
The Lost Mary MO5000 is built on an elongated C-frame with a non-slip, faux resin exterior and a clear, elongated mouthpiece.
The branding is minimal, and the rubberized exterior is a pleasure to hold, though it can be slippery. The swirling color patterns aren’t obnoxious or loud, and there’s something to be said for a super lightweight disposable that stands up when placed on a table.
From a distance, the Lost Mary MO5000 looks less like a disposable vape and more like a well-made AIO device.
Simply open the package, remove the clear plastic sticker from the bottom of the charge port, and take out the rubber mouthpiece stopper. There was no need to pre-charge the device, but it’s advisable to connect yours to a charging port just in case it needs to be topped off.
The Elf Bar and other tobacco-derived nicotine disposables have a pronounced throat hit, whereas this model contains synthetic nicotine, which in some applications has almost zero throat hit.
That’s not to say the MO5000 produces a weak vape, but it’s less satisfying than some of its peers, including the Lost Mary OS5000. That aside, the draw activation is very responsive, and the mesh coil is silent while providing plenty of vapor.
Battery life is also a bit of an issue. Coming in at 500 mAh, the battery capacity of the MO5000 is 150 mAh less than many of its competitors, and you will notice the strength and overall quality of the vape diminishes predictably as the battery discharges. When fully charged, the flavor is much richer.
The flavors are all above average, but the flavor choices are somewhat exotic. Here are a few of my favorites in descending order.
Ginger Beer: A cool, lemony ginger sponge cake, but not overly sweet.
Watermelon Cherry: Cherry flavors aren’t easy to replicate, but this one is nicely done. Slightly understated watermelon nose with a hint of ice on the finish.
Black Mint: Black currant with an invigorating icy mint finish. This one is particularly good for palate cleansing. A bit odd.
Blueberry Raspberry Pomegranate: A medium cool vape with sweet berry notes, but not much pomegranate.
Energy: An accurate reproduction of the “Red Bull” taste. If you like that taste, you’ll like this flavor.
The Lost Mary MO5000 is rated for 5000 puffs, and it contains 13.5 ml of e-liquid. They last about as long as a BC5000, though the battery seems to have less stamina.
As previously discussed, the battery charge level impacts the flavor production, so with the MO5000, keeping yours charged is advisable. The light on the bottom of the MO5000 will stay illuminated while charging, and it will turn off when the charging cycle is complete.
It took approximately one hour to fully recharge the device.
The Lost Mary MO5000 gets a recommendation with none of the issues mentioned acting as deal-breakers. Just bear in mind that the intensity of the flavor will decrease significantly as you drain the battery. If you do decide to give the Lost Mary MO5000 a try, keep up with charging the battery, and you should be good-to-go.
how can i refill it
It’s not refillable.
how does the charging work?
The device has a USB-C connection. Charge with a standard USB-C>USB cable, hooked to a computer or cell phone charger.
Great article! Very excited to see where the future of disposables can lead us to and how the tech trade-off is for sub-ohm devices.
I’m a huge fan of lost mary except 1 main issue after a couple of days they have a burnt taste and I have to throw them out I’ve wasted around a hundred dollars on burned out vapes at 20 dollars a vape 2 out of 5 stars
