Augvape & Mike Vapes Intake RTA Preview | Leakproof and Innovative

A smart airflow design prevents leaking and strives for flavor

Augvape Intake RTA Intro

Augvape and Mike Vapes collaborate for a rather uniquely designed rebuildable tank atomizer. The Intake RTA is a 24 mm, single-coil atomizer that uses an intricate design to transfer the top airflow directly under the coil.

The Augvape Intake will have a capacity of either 2.5 or 4.2 mL with the use of the included bubble glass. The slightly lifted deck is reminiscent of the Genesis type atomizers and will be able to accommodate coils up to 3 mm diameter – 3.5 mm might also be possible, but Mike advised against it in his video presentation.

What are these tubes doing on my build deck?

2018, the year of the airflow. It seems like every new product comes out with a different airflow design, trying to strike the perfect balance between a smooth inhale and awesome flavor. Some do it right; some don’t. This one looks like a winner – on paper at least.

The two 3-mm diameter tubes on the Intake’s build deck will be used to transfer the air from the top to directly under the coil, essentially making it a top-to-bottom airflow RTA. The only thing the user will have to do is align the airflow tubes with the two holes placed under the spinning chamber cap. That’s it, you’re done – as Mike himself would say.

who doesn’t like a leakproof flavor machine?

We recently saw the Geekvape Zeus featuring top-to-side airflow, but the Intake takes it one step further. What this means is that the Intake will inherit the leakproof capabilities of top-airflow RTAs, adding the potential for even better flavor due to the air hitting the coils from the bottom. Who doesn’t like a leakproof flavor machine?

The Intake has already appeared in various websites with a price around $30-40. Considering Augvape’s tradition with quality products and Mike Vapes’ recent stellar record, this sounds like a bargain. What do you think of the Intake? Let us know in the comment section.

Spyros Papamichail
My first attempt at vaping came back in 2009 on some of the first cigalikes to ever reach Europe. A couple of attempts -- and vaping tech generations later -- I managed to quit smoking in 2016, and have since then developed somewhat of an obsession with all things vaping. When I am not consuming vape reviews I am either tinkering my NBA fantasy teams or playing board games with friends.
