The FRIOBAR MX 10K looks and performs more like a little box mod AIO than a simple disposable. This is normally where I’d say something like, “what really matters is the performance. Is the FRIOBAR MX 10K the next disposable you should try?” Let me skip the teasing and simply say, yes! The FRIOBAR MX 10K is a great disposable. Now, let me tell you why.

Size, look, and feel

The FRIOBAR MX 10K comes in the form of a little box mod. It measures 49 mm x 24.1 mm x 85.25 mm. It’s a classic form in a pint size. While using it, you may forget that it’s disposable due to its quality hand feel.

The colors are indicative of the flavors, and the overall aesthetic is similar to various other recent disposables: a mix of aluminum and transparent plastic where the internals are in view.

The FRIOBAR MX 10K also has a little light show that makes the device take on a futuristic quality. As you take a hit, a little green LED blinks up and down on a small track (where the electronics are in view) like a little neon sign. It's cool to see, but I do wish I could turn it off, as it makes stealth vaping almost impossible when in dark settings.

The mouthpiece is a whistle tip and is comfortable to use. It’s got a relatively wide bore, which I think lends itself well to the flavor production.

Getting started

Open the device and begin using it. It’s that simple. Once you begin using it, you’ll notice the large-font LED screen illuminate, letting you know the status of your battery charge and liquid level. The battery charge is a percentage read out, and the liquid display shows you your levels by a color-coded circular meter.

I like this display for a few reasons: it’s got a big font, it’s easy to read, and it stays lit for several seconds, which gives you plenty of time to stop vaping and check.

If you want to adjust the airflow to be tighter or looser, you can dial in what you want with the controller located at the bottom of the device. It’s a nice controller in that it’s easy to adjust and know where you have it set. It’s a simple dial with clear indications for min and max air.

The airflow comes in via three small holes on the bottom that can be adjusted to use one, two, or all three. The draw can be taken from an MTL to a restricted lung hit.

How does it hit?

The hit from the FRIOBAR MX 10K is smooth, quick, flavorful, and legitimately MTL to a restricted lung hit via the airflow controller. The vapor is dense and warm, whether in MTL or in RDL.

The throat hit is moderate enough to satisfy but not so sharp as to make you cough or hiccup. I haven’t had any issues with gurgling, leaking, or auto-firing. FREEMAX nailed it when it comes to the hit… and, basically, everything else.

FRIOBAR MX 10K best flavors

Disposables are hit or miss when it comes to flavors. The FRIOBAR MX 10K flavors are a hit! The generous flavor production from the MX 10K is due to the DUOMESH coils, however, no flavor is going to actually taste good unless the formulation/recipe is good.

Too many disposables taste like the flavors are turnkey solutions (i.e., the same as others.) These flavors in the FRIOBAR MX 10K, although somewhat like what’s on the menu of other disposables, taste like FREEMAX original flavors. These are my favorites…

Blueberry Sparkling: A tantalizing blend of sweet blueberries with a fizzy, almost champagne-like kick. Light cooling.

Strawberry Mango: A perfect blend of juicy strawberries and tropical mango, offering a sweet and tangy flavor profile. Moderate cooling.

Miami Mint: A refreshing burst of mint that cools the palate, reminiscent of a breezy Miami evening. High cooling.

Orange Lime Ice: A zesty combination of citrusy orange (think “Tang”) and lime, with an icy undertone for a refreshing kick.

Raspberry Watermelon: A bright and delightful mix of tart raspberries and sweet watermelon for a fruity and pleasurable taste.

How long do they last?

The eliquid in the FRIOBAR MX 10K lasts a long time. For only 10 mL, I think FREEMAX did a bang-up job with tuning the specs to get the most out of the liquid.

I don’t know if you can get 10K hits, of course, but these disposables will provide flavor for days. That said, with only a 650 mAh battery, you’re probably only going to get a day of solid vaping before needing to recharge. Luckily, the big font for battery percentage is easy to read, and you won’t be left guessing as to when your vape is going to shut down.

When it’s time to charge, simply plug in the device to a USB-C cable and replenish the battery as you would any small electronic device. While charging, there’s a small lightning bolt that will flash on the LED screen while the battery percentage increases. This kind of readout is becoming common with rechargeable disposables and makes the charge much more convenient than a simple flashing light.

The total charge time takes approximately 90 minutes, which is around 30 minutes longer than the industry-standard one hour. And unfortunately, there’s no passthrough, so you can’t vape while it’s plugged in. For an average disposable the long charge time can be a deal breaker, but in the case of the Friobar, I’d just advise you to buy two if you want to avoid downtime.

Verdict

The FRIOBAR MX 10K is a high-quality disposable. The flavor from these devices is off the charts! For a disposable, they’re hard to throw away. Out of the disposables I’ve used recently, they’re probably closest in flavor to the ICEWAVE, but the MX 10K takes the cake. The DUOMESH coils work flawlessly—quick-activating and gushing with flavor.

I don’t have any real complaints besides MX 10K not being the best for stealth vaping due to the little light show, which is nitpicky for sure, and the long charging time. Other than these cons, the MX 10K is one of the easiest disposables to recommend.
