Jay-Bo Strikes Back
Vaping360 recently dropped by the Wismec US office to chat with senior designer Jay-Bo about his latest and greatest vaping products. In the interview above, Jay-Bo talks about the Reuleaux RX75 mod, the Amor Mini sub-ohm tank, and the Reuleaux RX200S mod. Check out my chat with Jay-Bo above and keep reading for more details on these Wismec products.
Reuleaux RX75 and Amor Mini
On the new-new side are the Wismec Reuleaux RX75 and Amor Mini sub-ohm tank. These vaping products are available together as a kit. The Reuleaux RX75’s design was inspired by a safety lighter and the mod has a cutaway that houses an atomizer. It’s a 75-watt box-mod that runs on a single 18650 battery and is capable of most modern temperature-control modes (nickel, titanium, stainless steel, TCR).
Aesthetically, the outside shells of all Reuleaux RX75 models are black. Inside, there are four color options — black, white,
Tiffany phthalo blue (thank you, Bob Ross), and red. In addition to the stealthy cutaway, the controls and display of the mod are covered by the shell, making it even more discrete.
The Amor Mini is an update to a Wismec sub-ohm tank that has a loyal following, but never made a mass-market splash. The company hopes that pairing it with a Reuleaux mod will help more vapers appreciate the great qualities Amor coils offer. The Amor Mini has a capacity of two milliliters, making it TPD-compliant.
To snazz things up, the Amor Mini comes with O-rings that correspond to the color of the Reuleaux RX75 it accompanies. Again, the color choices are black, white, phthalo blue, and red. (And really, this paragraph exists so that I could plug one of my favorite Fairways songs.) The tank also has a drip tip that will be very familiar to vapers that know Jay-Bo from his first vaping company, Tobh Mods.
Reuleaux RX200S…Now With More S(creen)!
On the triple-18650 battery side, the Reuleaux RX200S is a slight update to the hugely popular Reuleaux RX200 mod. It has all the same capabilities of its forerunner, but uses a different firmware branch in order to power its larger screen. Additionally, the screen is oriented so that you don’t have to tilt the mod in order to read the text.
The Reuleaux RX200S has launched in the original in the original silver-and-grey two-tone model, just like the Reuleaux DNA200 and RX200 before it. In the future, expect more RX200S colors. One important factor to note is that Wismec has to provide two sets of firmware updates for the two RX200 variants, so it’s possible that one will have newer features before the other.
Stay Tuned For More
Naturally, Jay-Bo is working on even more products. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to film them and am not allowed to write about them at this time. Stay tuned for another chat with this excellent gentleman in the near future. For now, I’d love to hear your thoughts on the Reuleaux RX75, Amor Mini, and Reuleaux RX200S.
