Product intro and specs
Introducing the MySour 40K, another flavor adjustable disposable from Adjust, featuring 4x sour levels to make you pucker. That's the latest in Adjust's line of flavor-adjustable disposable vapes. The MySweet, MyCool, and MySour are effectively the same devices with the same specs, just with different flavor adjustments and screen icons. The MyFlavor, which I recently reviewed, is totally different than the other three.
Besides the 4x adjustable sourness levels, the MySour 40K features an 850 mAh USB-C rechargeable battery, a smart screen for battery and liquid levels, a triple mesh coil, and a bite-friendly mouthpiece. Its capacity is listed at 20 mL with a nicotine strength of 5%.
As much as I appreciate the customization of these next-gen disposables with adjustable flavor, I was a little skeptical of adjustable sourness. I never vaped a flavor and wished it could be more sour. That said, I had a similar skepticism of the MyCool, considering I don’t typically like any coolness to my vapes. The MyCool impressed me enough that I got usage out of the added coolness. Let’s get into the details of the MySour and see if Adjust can convert me to the sour side.
Price: $14.99 (at Element Vape)
Flavors: Sour blue razz ice, sour grapple, sour island, sour peach raspberry, sour pinkberry
Size, look, and feel
The MySour, like the MyCool and MySweet, is a box-mod-style disposable measuring 102 mm x 27 mm x 9 mm. It’s lightweight and designed with a C-frame body. It’s a classic shape with one side rounded and the other flat. As always, it feels good in the hand.
Besides the ergonomic design, the MySour features a bite-friendly mouthpiece and an embossed, geometric pattern along the side panels that makes holding it feel more secure. There’s a display screen for battery and e-liquid levels, as well as different pucker-face icons to represent the degrees of sourness. The screen is moderately lit, which is nice when it's dark, but you might have issues seeing the screen in daylight.
The button you see along the side of the MySour is used to adjust sourness and check your status. The button is the same as the one on the MyCool, which is a bit weird because it looks like an ice cube. Under the transparent button is a drawing of a lemon. It feels a bit like an afterthought, though. Otherwise, the button is fine. It’s clicky, but with a dampened feeling.
Getting started

Using the MySour is simple. Although it has a button, the MySour is draw-activated, which means you just puff when ready and you’ve turned the device on. To turn on the MySour, locate the slider switch on the bottom of the device. It turns the device on and switches between the 3x power modes, each with its own airflow setting.
- Power Level I (MTL, lowest airflow): 40k puffs
- Power Level II (loose MTL, medium airflow): 30k puffs
- Power Level III (looser MTL, highest airflow): 20k puffs
Adjusting the sourness is a simple matter of pressing the button once to activate the screen, then pressing it until you get to your desired level. Additionally, if you just want to check the status of your e-liquid or battery levels, pressing the button once will display the screen quickly.
When changing the levels of sourness, I discovered something interesting. Adding more sour increases the intensity of the vape. In other words, for each power level, adjusting the level of sourness adds additional power. That adds even more customization to the vape.
How does it hit?

I love the hit from the MySour. It’s got a nice restriction to the draw that’s sure to please those who like an MTL draw. If you like it a little looser, Power Level III gives a nice loose MTL. But with the standard 5% nicotine salt concentration, I wouldn't recommend trying to do a restricted lung hit.
As mentioned in the previous section, increasing the sourness levels also increases the intensity of the hit (warmth, vapor production, and flavor saturation). That's not a problem per se—actually, it’s great!—but if you are in power level I with sourness level 1, the vapor quality and output are faint beyond what you’d expect from eco mode. The simple fix is just to add a level or more of sour; it will boost the power back up.
While I do love the additional customization of the sourness affecting the power output, I wish Adjust gave some insight into what’s going on inside these devices. I haven’t the faintest clue about why adding levels of sour boosts the power output, but that’s the way it is.
Adjust MySour 40K best flavors

I really enjoy the flavors from the MySour. They’re already tart, but the additional sourness provides a different kind of mouthfeel that’s wildly pleasurable. I was skeptical at first, but now I’m a believer! It’s kind of amazing to experience the flavors blossom when adding more sourness. And with each additional level, the change is quite noticeable.
Sour blue razz ice: A tangy blue raspberry reminiscent of Wonka Bottlecap candies. Try it at power level III/sour level 4.
Sour grapple: A tart green apple with grape undertones. This one is quite sour to begin with. Try it at power level III/sour level 2.
Sour island: A tropical mix with a sour kick, similar to a sweet tea with lots of lemon. It’s very good! Try it at power level III/sour level 3.
Sour peach raspberry: Sweet and sour, with a juicy peach flavor rounded out by a tart raspberry. Try it at power level II/sour level 4.
Sour pinkberry: A pink lemonade flavor with other red fruits. This and sour island are my favorites. Try it at power level III/sour level 3.
Battery life and charging

The MySour is powered by an 850 mAh battery, lasting about a full day per charge with moderate use. I drained sour pinkberry in a half day, but that was with heavy use (I really love that flavor!)
Factoring in the various power modes and the additional power boost from adding sourness levels, your battery life will vary depending on how you have it set up. That said, after weighing the MySour between charge cycles, I was able to determine it consumes about 2.85 mL per charge cycle (vaping in various modes), with the whole device lasting about 4.5 charge cycles. That’s less than the stated 20 mL, and it sure doesn’t get you anywhere near 40k puffs (no matter how you customize the settings).
Despite those numbers being lower than what’s advertised, the MySour is in line with other disposables' liquid consumption based on my weight tests. With that in mind, I’m not going to make exaggerated capacity a con for this device. However...
The MySour takes 100 minutes to complete its recharge. As far as I’m concerned, that long charge time is the only real con. When it’s time to charge, just plug in a USB-C cable to the port located at the bottom of the device. While it’s charging, the screen stays illuminated, so you can check the status with a quick glance. Just make sure that you have some backup devices ready.

Verdict
The MySour 40K is another winner from Adjust. Whether it’s adjustable coolness, sourness, or sweetness, the Adjust disposables are solid performers. I left out the MyFlavor because, to put it mildly, it did not perform as nicely as the sweet/cool/sour trio.
This is twice now that Adjust has exceeded my expectations with their disposable vapes. First with the MyCool, now with the MySour. I never would’ve imagined I’d actually want to increase the coolness or the sourness of my vape. But here we are.
The main issue I have with these devices is that they have a super long charge of about 100 minutes. Also, I’d like to know more about what’s going on with the flavor adjustments increasing the power. It doesn’t bother me that it happens, I’d just like to know why it does. Vapers like that kind of stuff.
Highly recommended, despite that ridiculously long charge time.
