Product intro and specs
Fifty Bar is a brand of disposable vapes that are assembled, packaged, and filled in America. This review covers the Fifty Bar Black & White series of disposables, fueled with 5% nicotine salt e-liquids made by Beard Vape Co.
The Fifty Bar is a compact disposable with big flavor. It’s powered by an 800 mAh rechargeable battery, featuring a 20k puff rating, a dual parallel mesh coil, adjustable airflow, and always-active boost mode. Other features include a bite-friendly mouthpiece and intelligent indicators for juice and battery life.
The Fifty Bar is designed for an MTL draw. The always-active boost mode and parallel mesh coil generate a fast-activating, warm, and lively experience. But what really separates the Fifty Bar from its competitors is who makes the juice inside. Most disposables use generic, turnkey flavors with little to distinguish them from other brands. The Fifty Bar Black & White series is “powered by Beard Vape Co.,” an e-liquid company with deep roots in vaping, spanning more than a decade of making e-liquid.
The Black & White are two different flavor lines with a total of 17 flavors. The Black is where you’ll find rich dessert flavors like vanilla custard and blueberry cereal donut milk, while the White focuses more on icier flavors with fruits, candies, and mints like strawmelon twist and OMG! smoothie. Let’s get into the details so you can decide if the Fifty Bar B&W is the next disposable you should put on your shopping list.
Price: $16.99 (at Mi-Pod)
Flavors: (Black series) butterbean, vanilla custard, milky loops, blueberry cereal donut milk, raspberry jam, gold tobacco, cinnamon funnel cake, strawberry cereal donut milk
(White series) Baja slushie, green apple blast, mint, strawmelon twist, OMG! smoothie, rainbow road, watermelon patch, kiberry chew, gummy whip
Size, look, and feel
The Fifty Bar is a compact and minimalistic little disposable. It measures 98 mm x 45 mm x 25 mm, and it weighs about 68 grams. It’s got a rounded body and a rubberized exterior, which makes it easy and fun to grip. With clean lines, minimal ornamentation, and a neutral color scheme, the Fifty Bar has a more masculine aesthetic than many disposables out right now. That said, I think any vaper would find the aesthetics pleasing—I do!
The Fifty Bar Black & White Series comes in two different color designs. The Black is two-toned with a black mouthpiece, black bottom half, and another color indicative of the flavor. The White comes in white and grey only. I like the looks of both, but my favorite is the White for its clean and understated look. The Black would be the stealthiest, but some of the flavors have more saturated colors due to the color/flavor matching. Regardless, these devices look and feel like something that should be coming out of an adult’s pocket.
As for features, the Fifty Bar continues with a minimalistic approach. There aren’t any adjustments for the Fifty Bar besides adjustable airflow, which is located on the bottom of the devices with a slider bar. Even the smart LED screen is minimalistic. It’s small but easily readable, and it has a black background. If you’re tired of all the bright colors and flashing lights in disposables, the Fifty Bar might be right up your alley.
Getting started

Since there aren’t any power adjustments with the Fifty Bar, getting started is really only a matter of removing the device from the package and taking a puff. Like most other disposables, the Fifty Bar has an automatic draw, which means you can take a puff without pressing any buttons.
The main thing to note with getting started is the airflow control. There are four airflow settings via the click-in-place slider switch. With the screen facing you, the tightest setting is to the right, and it gets airier when you slide the switch to the left. Although there are four airflow settings, the Fifty Bar still caters best to MTL vapers. The tightest setting is a strict MTL, and the airiest setting is a loose MTL. You could probably do a restricted lung hit if you wanted, but I think it’s most comfortable with MTL-style inhales.
One more point to mention is about the screen. It activates when you take a puff, but no other way. Sliding the airflow doesn’t display it, so when you want to know if you have battery life or liquid left, you’ll have to take a puff. To me, that’s a con. If you have a bunch of disposables, it gets annoying to take a puff just to check. With devices like the Artery CL6, Adjust disposables, and others, a press of a button displays the screen immediately without an inhale.
I do like the simplicity and clarity of the screen and the fact that it’s not obnoxiously bright. The battery indicator is a simple numerical percentage, but the e-liquid indicator can be a bit misleading. The e-liquid indicator is displayed with a green droplet that looks like the indicator itself because it’s not completely full of that green color. There is a multi-colored meter around the green droplet (green, blue, yellow, red) that is the actual e-liquid indicator. The issue is that once the colored meter runs low, those colors disappear. Glancing at that green droplet gives the impression of a fuller tank when it’s not actually the indicator.
Once you see only a small red bar under that green droplet, the tank is practically empty. Take note of the multi-colored meter when you first take a puff so you’re aware of your status.
How does it hit?

With its always-active boost mode and dual-parallel mesh coils, the Fifty Bar hits quickly, warmly, and with a big impact of flavor. Don’t let the small size and minimalistic design fool you! The Fifty Bar provides a robust hit (for an MTL vape).
The only issue I have with the hit is that I wish I could turn off the boost mode. When I first got disposables with a boost/turbo mode option, I almost never turned it off. Now, though, I find that eco mode is the most comfortable for me when using disposables. The thing is, with the wide variety of mesh coil configurations we have in disposables today, I think there is plenty of power in their normal modes. With the Fifty Bar, the always-active boost mode can be a little harsh (depending on the flavor.) With some of the flavors, I have to take shorter hits to keep from coughing or getting the hiccups. Normally, I take long drags, like three to four seconds. With some of the Fifty Bars, I have to take shorter drags due to some of the flavors having a harsher hit.
Most of the flavors with a harsh hit are in the Black series. Regardless of what airflow setting I use, I can’t stop that harsh hit. That said, I do tend to keep the Black series in the tightest airflow setting and the White series in the loosest MTL setting.
Fifty Bar Black & White series best flavors

To me, one of the biggest selling points of the Fifty Bar (Black and White) is that they’re filled with the type of e-liquid used by hobbyist vapers. The good stuff! Although the bottled e-liquid market is a fraction of its former glory, Beard Vape. Co was, and is, a mainstay on vape shop shelves. You get to vape that same e-liquid in the Fifty Bar. These are my favorites from each line.
Gold tobacco (Black): A rich, decadent dessert-style tobacco with a bright sun-cured tobacco taste, slathered in a sweet caramel flavor. For old-school vapers, think of this as dessert desert ship flavor. I depleted this one the quickest. I would love a big bottle of this liquid!
Raspberry jam (Black): A sweet compote type of raspberry flavor that does a good job of approximating jam, though it could be mistaken for raspberry pie flavor.
Strawberry cereal donut milk (Black): The name says it all. You can taste the strawberry, cereal, and (glazed) donut. Saying I taste the milk would be a stretch, but there is a creamy base that does the trick.
Baja Slushie (White): A wildly intoxicating mix of various fruits that tastes like a smoothie. Without checking the site, I can’t say what fruits I taste, just that it’s something like a blended tropical drink with a bit of ice. Super good.
OMG Smoothie (White): The orange, mango, guava flavor that’s become popular in disposables over the past couple of years. It’s a well-rounded and balanced flavor with no one fruit taking the leading role. It’s very good, though not as unique as Baja Smoothie.
Kiberry chew (White): Strawberry and kiwi, maybe mixed with a Starburst-type flavor. It’s not just strawberry and kiwi. I do get the impression of a fruit chew element.
Some of the most decadent Fifty Bar dessert flavors, like vanilla custard, butterbean, and cinnamon funnel cake, are jam-packed with flavor. Unfortunately, those are the ones that taste harsh to me (on the inhale.) It’s difficult to explain if you haven’t mixed e-liquid before, but I find those to be overly flavored. I could probably enjoy them more if I could turn boost mode off.
How long does it last?

In my last review, I started weighing devices to track the e-liquid consumption between charges. It’s not a super-accurate methodology, but it’s a lot more objective than just saying "it lasts about a day."
Unfortunately, I started testing the B&W series before the Adjust MyFlavor, so my Fifty Bars were already running low when I came up with this idea. Still, I went through the last ~2.2 mL of e-liquid (2.5 grams) of a fully charged Fifty Bar, and it still had 35% battery. Battery indicators aren't super accurate, but I am confident that the Fifty Bar lasts a bit longer between charges than the Adjust MyFlavor and some other disposables I have tested. I'd expect around 3 mL per charge on the Fifty Bar.
As for the charge time, it’s about an hour, and there is no pass-thru charging. The screen stays illuminated while charging, which makes checking the status just a glance at the device.

Verdict
There aren’t many disposable vapes with flavors like vanilla custard or strawberry cereal donut milk—or even tobacco, for that matter. The Fifty Bar is unique for that reason alone. But beyond the unique flavors, it provides a flavorful hit, better-than-average battery life between charges, and four adjustable airflow settings that cater to a range of MTL draws. It’s compact, lightweight, and it’s got a mature but stylish aesthetic.
My main gripe with the Fifty Bar is that some flavors hit a little harsh, and there’s no way to turn off boost mode. Even if some of the flavors are more intense than I prefer, I can imagine each one having a dedicated fan base. For those of you who like sweet tobaccos, gold tobacco is a must-try. It’s ridiculously good!
