VOZOL GEAR POWER 20k Disposable Review: Is This VOZOL’s Best Yet?

I got married recently, and VOZOL was kind enough to provide me and my wedding guests with GEAR POWER disposable vapes to try during the reception. They were very popular, and many of the guests are still vaping them two weeks later. Thanks to VOZOL for making the wedding a smoke-free event to remember!  

The VOZOL GEAR POWER is VOZOL’s latest creation and is the company’s top disposable in terms of puff count and e-juice capacity. It’s an excellent addition to their already solid product line, which includes the popular VISTA, NEON, and STAR disposable series.   

The GEAR POWER is prefilled with a hefty 20mL of e-juice, which will keep even the heaviest vapers going for more than a week. It’s available in 20 different flavors, all in 0/20/50 mg nicotine strengths. The 650 mAh battery is rechargeable via USB-C, and as with most VOZOL vapes, the GEAR POWER features mesh dual coils with S.i.L.C (Smooth, Identical, Long-lasting, Clean) technology, ensuring consistent hits every time.   

The device offers two power modes. In ECO mode, the GEAR POWER provides up to 20000 puffs. In POWER mode, which offers greater flavor and vapor, it offers about 12000 puffs. 

The GEAR POWER has a bright LED screen display that shows which power mode is activated, the percentage of remaining battery life, and how much e-juice is left. As with other Gear-series vapes, VOZOL provides a silicon cap to protect the mouthpiece when not in use.

Size, look, and feel

The VOZOL GEAR POWER looks sleek and colorful, and the LED screen is bright and easily readable. It features 20 mL of e-juice, which makes it somewhat heavier and larger than most disposables, but it’s well-balanced and easy to handle.  

The GEAR POWER is roughly the same width as the VOZOL VISTA series, but somewhat taller and heavier due to the GEAR POWER’s LED screen and juice capacity.   

The build quality is top notch, as expected from VOZOL. It can take a beating and still function with no issues. The protective mouthpiece cap is also a nice feature.

Getting started 

The box includes a single GEAR POWER vape and a protective mouthpiece cover. A USB-C charging cable is not supplied.

As with most disposables, setup is simple: open the package, take the top cap off, peel the sticker from the bottom, and start vaping. Users must decide if they want to use the device in ECO or POWER mode, which is toggled on the bottom of the device.

ECO mode produces slightly less vapor and provides up to 20000 puffs. POWER mode produces more vapor and flavor but will reduce the puff count considerably to a maximum of 12000.

For me, ECO mode works well and provides a good flavorful hit. I don’t think the difference in output is great enough to justify the reduced puff count. Your mileage, of course, may vary.

How does it hit?

The GEAR POWER doesn’t have adjustable airflow, but VOZOL has nailed a nice mouth-to-lung draw which will probably appeal to smokers and the majority of vapers. The mouthpiece is quite a bit wider than the VISTA series devices, but still quite comfortable. I personally prefer the smaller VISTA mouthpiece, but it’s not a deal-breaker.

The vapor production is impressive in ECO mode and even more so in POWER mode. The hits are very consistent over time, and I’ve yet to encounter issues with leaking, spitting, or popping on any of the devices I’ve tried.

VOZOL GEAR POWER best flavors 

The VOZOL GEAR POWER series offers a selection of 20 different flavors. The flavor range is impressive, with flavors almost anyone will enjoy.   

The flavors are well designed, tasty, and certainly cater to those with a sweet tooth. If anything, they may be a bit too sweet for some vapers, although most of the guests at my wedding enjoyed them very much.   

My personal favorites include:

• Mango Pineapple Grapefruit  

My least favorites:  

• Blue Mojito  
• Blueberry Storm  
• Lemon Lime  
• Tobacco   

Flavors, of course, are a subjective thing, but these are among the best-tasting disposables I’ve tried.  

How long do they last? 

Puff counts are tricky to measure and typically somewhat exaggerated. However, to give you an idea of how long the 20 mL of e-juice will last, I’ve vaped heavily on one device for three days and have only used up 20% of the e-liquid capacity (according to the remaining percentage shown on the LED screen).

I think the GEAR POWER is likely to last at least a week for heavy vapers. Most of my wedding guests who vape are still using their devices and have yet to run out of e-juice—more than two weeks later.

The 650 mAh battery will last an entire day, depending on how much you vape and in which power mode. I can vape quite heavily for eight hours in ECO mode and have power to spare.

My only criticism is that the battery life indicator is somewhat glitchy. It stays at 80% for what seems like an eternity, then drops suddenly from 80% to 60%. The e-juice indicator has similar issues.

The battery charges fully in about 30-40 minutes.
