Yihi has another stunner!

For many advanced vapers, the SXmini series needs little to no introduction. Touted as one of the best box mods on the market, it is the installed YiHi chipset that gives this mod the consistent performance and high end functionality that users have become accustomed to.

It is therefore, with high expectations that we delve into the specs of Yihi’s latest design, the SXmini MX Class Box Mod, to see how this model really measures up to the rest. Like all of the previous versions, the SXmini MX Class combines a curved, metal alloy chassis construction with a large firing button and medium sized, OLED display screen.

Where the older examples utilized two adjustment buttons, this model features only one single adjustment button that protrudes slightly out of the side panel – a characteristic that suggests that a 360 degree manipulation of the button is possible. This feature is in line with the “joystick control” functionality that was first introduced in the G Class series and a characteristic that seems inherent to Yihi designs.

The MX Class is the newest device with the advanced YiHi chipset

The MX Class is a good looking unit that feels like an aesthetic update to the original c-frame designs from Yihi. The device dimensions are not yet listed online but it seems to be similar to the original size of the SX Mini (S, M, ML class). One new design choice is the peculiar gap between the body and the base of the device, which almost looks like it should be a functional feature but it’s just stylistic.

Aesthetics aside, the main difference between the former and current SXmini series mods is the installed chipset, with the SXmini MX Class utilizing the upgraded, Bluetooth-compatible SX350J chip. This advanced system supports a 75-watt power maximum and has both variable joule and variable wattage operating modes to cater to various vaping preferences.

Although Yihi has yet to release comprehensive pricing details or specs for this device, it is safe to assume that it will carry a similar retail price to the other mods in the series, meaning that you can expect to pay at least $100 for this model. And while you will certainly get what you pay for in terms of functionality, it would be nice to see their prices drop. What do you think?
