Vaping the 0.5ohm OCC coil head on the Cloupor Z4
As always we used our Max Vg e-juice by Fa-Q. We vaped the Z4 on our new Innokin Disrupter box mod.
20W – Not too much happening at 20W
30W – Decent clouds and flavor is pretty good. Vapor is quite cool at this point.
40W – A slightly warmer vape now, but still quite cool. Flavor is not bad, but there is a slightly metallicky taste that hasn’t gone away yet. I’ll try again after a few tanks and see what happens.
45W – Verging on a burnt hit now so would stay at around 40W.
I am unsure what exactly the Cloupor Z4 will be retailing at, but currently you can pre-order it for around $18, which is very cheap considering what you get with the kit.
RBA and Accessories
The Cloupor Z4 comes with an RBA section that is similar to that of the Subtank Mini. The Z4 kit also comes with Japanese cotton, spare o-rings, a spare 0.5ohm RBA coil, a screwdriver and a spare o-ring for the drip tip. This is quite a bit of stuff and all included for the low price of $18, which is great value for money.
Decent Air Flow
The air flow on the Cloupor Z4 sub ohm tank features 4 slots. This is very similar to the Arctic and provides the same sort of air flow. The air flow slides easily into place and can be adjusted easily.
Easy to Fill and Take Apart
The Cloupor Z4 was easy to fill from the bottom with plenty of space and taking apart the tank is easy.
We haven’t had any leaking issues with our Cloupor Z4 so far, so fingers crossed it stays like that.
The flavor after a vaping through a full tank started to get a bit better. However, it took a long time for that flavor to come through on the 0.5ohm coil. There was a distinct metallic taste to the 0.5ohm coil for the first tank full and it took a good while for this flavor to dissipate. The flavor on the 0.5ohm wasn’t up there with some of the top sub ohm tanks and it isn’t the biggest cloud producer either.
No Unique Features
The Cloupor Z4 is a solid sub ohm tank and you get some good accessories for a very good price. However, there is nothing about it that really makes it stand out from other sub ohm tanks, in my opinion. It would be nice to have a top filling capability and a few other coils options etc. For those new to sub ohm vaping this could, depending on its final price, be a decent option because of its simplicity.
If the price of the Cloupor Z4 will be around the $18 mark, then I think it will be a good purchase. It comes with a RBA and loads of accessories including a spare Pyrex tank. It is a simple to use sub ohm tank and works well for its price range. I don’t think it does enough compared to other sub ohm tanks to warrant a higher price tag, but at $18 it is a decent purchase.
I think the Cloupor Z4 will be good for those who don’t want to spend much on a sub ohm tank, but also want the option of a RBA. The 0.5 ohm coil works best around 30-40W with decent flavor. Don’t expect the flavor to be mind-blowing, as it isn’t and also don’t expect the biggest clouds like you get on some of the other sub ohm tanks. The clouds are decent but again not huge.
Overall it seems Cloupor are a little late to the sub ohm tank game. However, for $18 this sub ohm tank is a great buy for those wanting to try an inexpensive sub ohm tank. It is by no means the best sub ohm tank out there, but a solid little tank with some nice accessories. It also has the option of a Ni200 coil which can be purchased separately.
