Uwell Valyrian Sub-Ohm Tank Preview | Game of Tanks

Is the “Valyrian” destined to be the sub-ohm tank to rule them all?

Uwell Valyrian Sub-Ohm Tank Intro

“In every man’s heart there is a Valyrian” – or so claims Uwell’s promotional video for the newly released, Valyrian Sub-Ohm Tank. While I am not sure if this makes any sense, the sentiment seems to be that the “Valyrian” is an aspirational design that everyone should own. But can Uwell really put their money where their mouth is with this release?

So what’s in a name?

For those of you who don’t know – myself included – Valyrian Steel is “a form of metal that was forged in the days of the mighty Valyrian Freehold”.

Well thank you Game of Thrones wiki but what does this really have to do with a sub-ohm tank? The answer: Frankly nothing. Apart from the mythical name and obvious backstory, the only other aspect that the Valyrian Tank has in common with its namesake is its sturdy, stainless steel construction.

So, legend aside, the Valyrian is fundamentally a 25 mm diameter, 5 mL, sub-ohm tank atomizer that utilizes a flip top cap for easy refilling. The unit is designed to be compatible with a larger, 8 mL ejuice reservoir (sold separately) and is available in five fashionable colors.

This hardworking and versatile tank atomizer raises the bar for sub-ohm vaping.

One of the most unique aspects of this tank is that it is supplied with three types of inner coil pins, which are fully interchangeable and can be swopped out to offer various airflow and flavor combinations as preferred. Instructions are supplied for the included pins but the variants are referred to as “spiral-type”, “wave-type” and “unrestricted-type” and are designed for specific wattage outputs ranging from 95 up to 200 watts.

If the product blurb is anything to go by – Uwell appear to have high hopes for the Valyrian and even boast that “Everything is Special” in their product by-line. However, whether the Valyrian is able to live up to its own hype or whether it will fade into insignificance, only time will tell.

Interesting, so this might be the “TFV12” killer, however at 5$CAD more at my cost for the store, it would be by quite a margin, the most expensive tank so I’m very doubtful, and actually even 12$ above the new Crown Mini which is pretty much the same as a “Crown 3” but even cheaper. Guess I’ll just wait.
