Vaponaute E-Journey intro
E-Journey from Vaponaute is a collection of five complex e-liquids made in Paris, France by Anne-Claire. Anne-Claire is the maker of Sacre Coeur from the NJOY Artist Collection released in 2014. Since trying that juice, I was convinced she possessed a rare skill.
The-E-Journey line is a continuation of the same type of brilliance displayed in Sacre Coeur. They’re tasty juices all masterfully made with unique flavors and aromas. If you have a little bit (or a lot) of flavor snobbery in you, keep reading as I review E-Journey by Vaponaute.

Our e-liquid review
On the Storm
On The Storm: A Ripened Pear poached in the finest Cognac extract, delicately heated by a light Tobacco blend. The smoothness of this flavor is enhanced by hints of Cocoa, Honey & Cinnamon with a final note of Star Anise.
The description is spot-on. I taste it all.
Succulent poached pear with traces of cognac hit you first, and then a sweet and light earthiness of (what tastes like) Virginia tobacco. I am surprised to be able to make out the tobacco. All the sweet dessert notes follow if your device is giving optimal flavor. Luckily I can only barely make out the anise as I am hypersensitive to it. It’s a mere whisper, if that. The cinnamon, honey, and cocoa are there just enough to tease, but they show enough to get you going.
Re-order: Damn straight!
Under The Sea
Under The Sea: The match of delicious 4 Mint extracts with a splash of Gin and hints of Juniper. Cucumber & Watermelon enhanced by delicate notes of Lavander & Coriander round up this unique and refreshing cocktail.
I don’t drink gin, and I don’t traditionally vape mint… but I will vape this juice if some is near. It has a unique mint taste with the sweetness of melon and cucumber that keeps your attention as notes of tart and pine add depth of flavor. The lavender is there, but it’s so light it just colors the other notes. This is a good juice, and I imagine it is a great one if you like gin and mint. Hell, I appreciate it and I don’t care for those flavors. That says something.
Cherry Blossom: A balanced and complex blend of Morello Cherries aged in Kirsch, Raspberry Infusion, Pistachio Biscuit. This intense flavor is smoothed by a light Almond Cream and brightened up by just a hint of Violet.
This juice is exquisite.
Cherry is difficult to get right in e-juice, but it’s great here. And Anne-Claire somehow injects the taste of raspberry in it too! Just amazing. These are not flavors traditionally done well in vaping. Here it feels effortless. All the other flavors are in there, but the dominant tastes are semi-sweet and tart cherries over the pistachio biscuit. Those are the stars, everything else plays peek-a-boo. The overall flavor saturation is pretty high, and the aroma is easily the best thing out of any bottle I’ve ever vaped (save for Sacre Coeur). This is my personal favorite of the bunch.
Re-order: My god, yes!
Into the Wild
Into The Wild: The finesse of Virginia tobacco warmed by Praline & Toffee notes. Hazelnuts, Almonds & Walnuts unveil spicy hints with a Candied Cherry finish.
For me, this juice is nuts. And not in a good way. Unlike Under the Sea where I was able to get past my preferences, I can’t do it here. I taste majority nuts — like a handful of mix nuts — with a dry cherry finish. I don’t taste much in the way of tobacco, besides a general earthiness (but that could be from the nuts). “Pralines” show up as just more nuts. And I long for the toffee to come through and take control, but to my buds the toffee is absent. If you like nutty vapes in general, you would love this! I just so happen to not like nut flavors. No knock on the juice though.
Re-order: Uh, no.
Over the Rainbow
Over The Rainbow: A luscious French Cantaloupe followed by Ginger & Lime fresh and sour notes. Green Fig and Citrus enhanced Verbena supplement this sparkling and unexpected flavor pairing.
A vibrant herbal tea with a bright (yet subtle) taste of cantaloupe followed by what I believe to be fig, but there is no way I could spot the fig without being primed by the description. And I struggle to taste ginger — I am getting more of a citrus/mint combo (but that could be the verbena). Either way, this juice is what flavor chasing is all about! I will catch the taste of fig one of these days, but until then, I will keep chasing it.
I recommend these juices to anyone that thinks they would like them. It really is that simple. I fell hardest for the ones that initially interested me. My expectations were exceeded, and they were high to begin with.
