Product intro and specs

The DOJO PIXEL 25000 is a compact disposable vape that grabs—and keeps—your attention. It’s the world’s first disposable with a dual-pixel screen and gravity sensor, styled in a retro-futuristic aesthetic that feels both familiar and space-age. But the PIXEL 25000 isn’t just about looks.

Powered by VAPORESSO, the DOJO PIXEL 25000 is designed to tap into more than just your taste buds. The DOJO website says the PIXEL 25000 is a “feast for your senses.” With flavor, ergonomics, and two interactive interfaces operated by the gravity sensor, the PIXEL 25000 is designed to keep your eyes, hands, and mouth entertained.

Other features of the PIXEL 25000 are an 800 mAh battery, 16 mL capacity, and a bite-friendly mouthpiece. Additionally, there’s VAPORESSO’s COREX 2.0 coil technology (which is used in all of the company’s latest pod vapes,) status indicators, and two power modes with their own dedicated airflow configurations. With a total of 21 flavors on the menu, each in 5% nicotine salt, everyone should be able to find a flavor just right for them.

Let’s get into the details and see what the PIXEL 25000 is all about and how they make use of this interesting gravity feature.

Flavors: Watermelon ice, blue razz ice, peachy smash, grape mojo, strawberry slam dunk, Hawaii dream, pink lemonade, tropical bomb, wintergreen mint, Miami mint, blue star, sour apple B-POP, sour cranapple, sour strawberry, sour gush

Size, look, and feel

The PIXEL 25000 is dripping in cool!  From my experience with them, it’s hard for anyone to see one and not be intrigued. If you don’t like people enquiring about what you have in your hands, don’t pull out a DOJO PIXEL! With vibrant and contrasting colors combined with those two raised black screens, the devices are simply stunning.

The PIXEL 25000 measures 93.2 mm x 50 mm x 27.7 mm and weighs about 90 grams. It’s got a rounded back with a flat front side, which gives them a hand-feel reminiscent of a small flip phone.

I normally don’t like such high-key colors for a vape, but the color pairings of the PIXEL are top-notch! It may not be fair to other devices I took issue with, but I give the PIXEL 25000 a pass. It's those screens that put it in a class by itself. Those two screens function as both the status indicators (one screen for e-liquid and one screen for battery) and two unique interfaces.

Because the PIXEL has a gravity sensor, giving the device a shake will put it into one of its UIs. One UI is an emoji that moves from screen to screen, and in whatever way you tilt the device. The other UI is falling sand through an hourglass (pixels and the two screens) that works similarly to the emoji UI but is much more fun. These two UIs aren’t games per se, but more like a fidgeting activity.

As an aside, the lighting of the screens isn’t overdone. While the status indicators are large and remarkably easy to read, just positioning the screens toward your palm will eliminate almost all the light emitted. In that respect, I give DOJO props for not going overboard by adding lighting on the back or sides of the device. So, while I wouldn’t call the PIXEL a stealth device, it’s surprising how discreet it can be in the dark if you need it to be.

Getting started

Getting started with the PIXEL 25000 is a breeze. On the bottom of the device is a slider switch that turns on the device and selects the different power modes. As mentioned, each power mode has its own dedicated airflow.

Eco (first setting): With two small airflow holes, the airflow of Eco mode is best suited for a loose MTL draw. Eco mode is more of a soothing, slightly cooler vape, while still being capable of satisfying. This mode saves battery life and provides you with more hits per battery charge.

PWR (second setting): With three small airflow holes, PWR mode is best suited for a looser MTL. It may seem like a minor distinction between the two modes, but this looser MTL draw provides a fuller, warmer, more intense hit.

The two status indicators (for battery life and e-liquid remaining) are contained within their own screen. When you take a hit, the bottom screen displays pixels pulsing up and down, like an old-school equalizer, and then the status indicators display. The top screen will show your e-liquid remaining, and the bottom screen is for your battery. Both indicators are numerical percentages and labeled with their respective icons.

A note on the screens: Although the screens show indicator icons (a drop for e-liquid and a lightning bolt for the battery), they scroll across the screen first, then the percentages. Sometimes, when I look to see my statuses, the icons have already scrolled past, and I’m left with a number on the top screen and a number on the bottom screen. I must remind myself that the bottom (B) is for the battery. (That’s how I remember it.) Also, while I do like the screens and playing with the UIs, I wish I could see my status quicker. The way to check your e-liquid or battery status is by taking a hit or moving the power switch. The issue is that you have to wait about seven seconds for the screen animations to scroll past. That’s too long!

How does it hit?

The PIXEL 25000 has a quick, free-flowing hit. It’s smooth and (in PWR mode), almost effortless. Just a slight inhale activates the coil. That said, a more forceful draw in PWR mode will give you a better hit.

In ECO, which is a loose MTL (the tighter draw of the two modes), you must take a more forceful hit, or it won’t activate. In PWR mode, you barely have to breathe in, and the COREX 2.0 heating element activates. It’s a minor detail but one that really helps to make the two modes unique, not just a lighter and stronger version of the other.

The only issue I had with the hit was that there was a slight break-in period for the coils to perform at their best. I’m used to disposables providing peak flavor from the giddy-up. I wouldn’t say the coil break-in period is a con though—as it’s common in other vape devices, and it’s not a long break-in period. It’s just something to be aware of when you’re itching to taste all of that flavor! Make no mistake about it, the flavor is coming.

DOJO PIXEL 25000 best flavors

After the short break-in period, which lasted for some puffs, the flavor produced by the PIXEL 25000 is in high definition. There’s a complexity and rich mouthfeel to the flavors that keep me coming back for more. Although I’ve only tried five flavors, they all have a signature essence that makes for a cohesive approach. In other words, nothing felt like an oddball. Of the five flavors I was sent, only three of them seem to be on the commercially available menu. I’ll discuss those:

Hawaii dream: Guava, pineapple, orange, mango, oh my! This flavor is exotic, aromatic, and intoxicating, with a slight cooling note. This should be a top seller for the PIXEL.

Pink lemonade: What you’d expect, but with a rich mouthfeel that makes it taste more developed than a simple pink lemonade flavor. Minor cooling.

Sour strawberry: All the aroma of a sweet strawberry but with a sour punch. A natural strawberry taste with just the right amount of sour candy flavor to make it tastier.

How long does it last?

The 800 mAh battery of the PIXEL 25000 is average. It just depends on how or how much you use the device. I’m not particularly a heavy vaper, but I do take long draws. For instance, when my PIXEL is at 100% battery, I can take it down a percentage point with two drags. That said, I think the average vaper could get about a day of usage before needing to recharge.

When it’s time to recharge, plug in a USB-C cable to the bottom of the device, and proceed like you would with any other small rechargeable electronic device. When charging, the screen will first give you a status readout, then it’ll go to pulsing pixels as a meter. Once the device is fully charged, the screen will cut off. The charge takes about 50 minutes to complete.

Verdict

The DOJO PIXEL 25000 is an impressive disposable vape. The aesthetics are killer, and the dual pixel screens give it an appeal beyond the reach of your typical disposable vape. Of course, all that would mean nothing if the PIXEL 25000 didn’t vape well. Luckily, it does. It really does! The flavor is top-notch, and the draw is perfectly tuned to the COREX 2.0 heating element.

It’s clear a lot of thought went into this device.

Besides that minor break-in period with the coils, I loved every minute I spent vaping on these little devices. I would hate to throw them in the trash, but I’d love to get another.

Highly recommended.
