Product intro and specs
The Elf Bar BC5000 is a small box-style disposable vape renowned for its capacity, flavor performance, and its wide-ranging menu of flavors. Many regard Elf Bar as a brand to have some of the best flavors on the market.
There are more than 45 flavors to choose from with the BC5000, in options for 5%, 3%, and zero nicotine. But despite its small size, the Elf Bar BC5000 holds a whopping 13 mL and up to 5000 puffs. It runs on a 650 mAh rechargeable battery that powers a high-performance dual-coil.
Does the Elf Bar actually have 5000 puffs? That’s hard to say, but there sure seems to be a legit 13 mL of ejuice in the little device. So however many puffs it takes to consume it all, it’s fairly high.

Size, look, and feel
The Elf Bar BC5000 is a compact and charming little device. It’s derivative of the old ELEAF iCare body with a flattened and squared form factor. It’s made of PCTG plastic with contrasting textures of the glossy parts at the top (mouthpiece) and bottom (recharge section) with the matte finish around the main body. The colorways look appealing to the eye and are suggestive of the flavors. Although I’m not a fan of the high-key colors for vapes, they’re still tastefully executed.
The device has a small footprint despite housing so much eliquid. It’s only 79 mm x 41 mm x 19 mm. Considering the “mega” disposables shaped like mechanical mods that hold less juice than these, I’d say Elf Bar hit a home run with the capacity and size of these devices.
Getting started
The Elf Bar BC5000 only requires removing the product from its packaging to get started. Simply puff on the device when you’re ready. There’s no adjustable airflow or any other aspects of the device that need fiddling. It’s as simple as it gets. Once the device stops hitting, the battery is depleted and needs a charge via the Type-C charge port located on the bottom of the device.
How does it hit?
The Elf Bar BC5000 has a quality MTL draw. It hits quietly with only a slight crackle and hiss from the airflow.
The throat hit is highly dependent on the nicotine level you choose, increasing with the nicotine strength. Regardless, across the spectrum of flavors, the overall hit is consistent. The dual coil in the Elf Bar BC5000 performs at a high level for a disposable. And the wicking keeps up with chain vaping, not once giving me a bad hit. Even when the juice starts to deplete, the taste lessens enough to tell you it’s almost out, instead of giving you a surprise fried hit.
Are the flavors any good?
Yes, the flavors are quite good. Easily some of the best flavors in a disposable.
The range is vast. Fruits, candy, drinks and cocktails, mint and icy flavors, and even a tobacco. Most are fruit flavor mash-ups, but there are some singular-note flavors as well. Technically, only one dessert (strawberry cream).
The majority of the flavors, like in most disposables, have a cooling sensation or are straight-up icy flavors. The tobacco flavor has no cooling sensation.
I’ve tried close to half of their flavors so far. There were only a couple I didn’t like as much as the others, but even those ones I still vaped until empty. These are the best Elf Bar flavors I tried.
What are the best Elf Bar flavors?
While this is highly subjective, I think the best Elf Bar flavors are their drinks and cocktails, and especially their tropical flavors. Their pina colada and pineapple flavors are top-notch. Juicy, bright, and flavorful. In general, there’s a lot of character to these flavors. Here's my top 5 out of the flavors that I’ve tried.
The following flavors were close behind my top five:
- Kiwi passionfruit guava
- Peach ice
- Watermelon ice
- Honeydew pineapple orange
- Strazz
How long do they last?
5000 puffs? I didn’t count them, but these little disposables have lasted longer than any other disposable I’ve used (in terms of flavor performance).
It’s amazing how much usage you can get out of these. Of course, with a 650 mAh battery, you are going to have to charge them a few times before the liquid is totally used up. If you have a moderate consumption, you could conceivably get a whole day out of one charge. But heavy usage will likely fall shy of a full day.
The Type-C recharge takes about an hour—which is standard with disposables, though still a long charge. Luckily, it has pass-thru charging (something I'd previously said it did not have, getting it mixed up with another device I'm reviewing. Thanks, Jay, from the comments section).

Verdict
I have no negative remarks about the Elf Bar BC5000. It’s one helluva disposable! The BC5000 has a lot going for it. It’s flavorful, consistent, compact, rechargeable, and it has a long list of flavor options and even three nicotine strengths.
This is one of the easiest recommendations I’ve made in a while. If you’re in the market for a disposable, I’m confident that you will find an Elf Bar BC5000 that you’ll enjoy. As for which flavor to pick, that’s not so easy to say when there are 45 to choose from, though I think the best flavors are the cocktail/island flavors. What do you think?
