Product intro and specs
The NEXA PIX 35K is a disposable vape that sets out to deliver what it advertises. Imagine that! Anyone who’s used modern disposables knows the numbers on the box—like puff count and mL capacity—rarely match reality. Most of the time, a sizeable portion of e-liquid ends up trapped in filler material, unvapeable without hitting dry cotton.
While most brands overlook this issue, NEXA addresses it with a solution: separating the saturated filler (5 mL) from a transparent feeding tank of fresh liquid (11 mL). As you vape, the tank re-saturates the wick until the tank is fully depleted. So even when the tank is empty (which takes a couple of charge cycles to reach), what’s left inside the device is a fully soaked 5 mL of filler material—essentially a traditional disposable for the final stretch.
In total, the PIX holds 16 mL of 5% nic salt e-liquid. It utilizes a dual mesh 1.0-ohm coil, powered by an 800 mAh USB-C fast-charge battery, including two power modes: Turbo and Normal. There’s also a curved mini display that shows battery life and power mode, plus an adjustable airflow slider to dial in your preferred draw.
On paper, there’s a lot to love about the NEXA PIX. Let’s find out if it's as good to use.

Size, look, and feel
The NEXA PIX 35K and NEXA ULTRA 50K share a lot in common, from form to function to aesthetics. Although NEXA isn’t calling the PIX a V2, it’s clearly the updated version. Because I reviewed the ULTRA, I’m going to have to include a lot of comparisons in this review.
Both are made of PC/PCTG and provide a “crystal” tank with graduation marks, making it possible to see your e-liquid supply. That’s why there’s no need for a “smart indicator” for e-liquid with these disposables.
The NEXA PIX measures 87.9 mm x 52.6 mm x 24.9 mm and (like the ULTRA) features an ergonomic body with fully rounded sides. It’s just one of those designs that feels great in the hand! Not only does the PIX feel great in the hand, but it’s smaller than the ULTRA. The ULTRA measures 103.4 mm x 53.6 mm x 29.0 mm, making the PIX 15.5 mm shorter. But that smaller size comes with a tradeoff: the ULTRA holds 20 mL of e-liquid, while the PIX holds 16 mL.
Another update to the design is the light display. Both the ULTRA and the PIX feature animated graphics against a black background under the 3D-curved screen, blinking with circuit-style visuals. But the ULTRA’s screen and lights wrap around half the body, while the PIX reduces the screen and show to just the front-facing panel. It’s a subtle change that makes the lights easy to conceal when you want discretion.
While the mouthpiece seems to be made from the same rubberized plastic material, with the reduced size and overall weight of the PIX, you can go hands-free if you want, clenching it between your teeth. Though I’d recommend closing your lips over your teeth if you want to hold it like that (or use your side teeth), since it has a bit more heft than the front teeth should hold on their own.
Getting started

If the ULTRA 50K had a slight learning curve to its assembly, the PIX 35K hammered the learning curve flat!
With the ULTRA, you had to attach the tank manually—insert it the right way, avoid peeling the wrong seals, and press it against the feeding spike. It worked well once you got the hang of it, but at first, it was easy to mess up if you weren’t paying close attention. No one wants to mess up their disposable seconds after opening it!
The PIX makes the assembly practically foolproof. Getting started is as easy as removing a thin strip of cardboard wedged around the tank and the battery, then giving the two halves a firm squeeze. You’ll feel a satisfying snap as it locks into place. That snap activates the Juicy Lock™ system, sealing the connection and starting the (re)saturation cycle. On the inside of the crystal tank, you’ll see a small, anchored rubber cover pop off the feed section located near the bottom of the tank, allowing for juice to flow to the filler.
Here’s the thing, though: even before you snap it together, the PIX is already full of liquid on the inside. A point I missed with the ULTRA. There is filler material on the inside, and it’s already full. I found that out by accident. I mistakenly took a hit before assembling it and braced for a burnt taste. Instead? I got a blast of flavor. One second I was wincing, the next I was nodding like, “oh, snap... I get it now.”
After activating the squeeze-to-assemble system, slide the airflow control switch on the bottom of the PIX to dial in your draw, ranging from a super tight MTL to a loose MTL. For a stronger hit, press the mode button under the screen to toggle between Normal and Turbo. The display will tell you what mode you’re in: "Norm" appears beneath the battery icon, "Turbo" above it.
- Normal power mode: rated for 35K puffs
- Turbo power mode: rated for 20K puffs
The last thing I’d like to mention is that the power mode button displays your battery percentage remaining, with zero wait time. You don’t have to take a puff to see, just press the button and you get your answer. Immediately!
How does it hit?

The NEXA PIX hits just as nicely as the ULTRA, which is to say the PIX has a great hit. They both use a 1.0-ohm dual mesh coil that ramps up immediately; it’s like turning on the lights! Both the PIX and the ULTRA excel at a smooth and easy draw, but the PIX is best due to an increased range of draw styles.
I like using mine with the airflow closed off to create a super tight MTL that pairs perfectly with normal mode. (Well—maybe not all the way closed, because that’s a little too tight. But you get the point.) With this wider range, more will find their preferred hit—whether that’s a cheek-collapsing MTL or a really loose MTL hit approaching a restricted lung hit (but falling slightly short of it).
NEXA PIX 35K best flavors

The flavors I’ve tried from the NEXA brand have all been quite good. Of course, some I like more than others, but none have turned me off. Even their sour apple, a flavor I typically hate, was decent enough for me to finish in the ULTRA (though I hadn’t realized that until after I finished the ULTRA review). I think the devices perform so well that even flavors I don’t like are able to shine. The benefit of the PIX over the ULTRA is that I’ve found there’s better flavor output from the PIX than the ULTRA. Comparing the watermelon ice flavor (which I've tried on both devices,) the PIX is a clear winner.
The PIX also introduces some different flavors from the ULTRA, with some overlap between the two (and some flavors that don’t appear on the PIX menu). The flavors they share in common: blue razz ice, blueberry watermelon, Miami mint, strawberry ice, Fcuking FAB, and white gummy.
The flavors new to the PIX: citrus rush, velvet latte, juicy grape, watermelon ice, frozen banana, sun slush, lemon blast, sour chill apple, and peach dive.
The flavors I tried are citrus rush, Fcuking FAB, and watermelon ice.
Fcuking FAB: I’m not totally sure what flavor combos are present here. The site shows gummy bears. From what I can taste, it’s a mix of sweet mango and orange. Regardless, it’s super flavorful and one of my favorites.
Watermelon ice: An aromatic, bright, and sweet flavor of watermelon that’s both natural and candy tasting. It draws the right balance between what watermelon tastes like, and what you want it to taste like. There’s nothing light about this flavor; well, except for the “ice,” which is fine by me.
Citrus rush: My least favorite of the bunch, though the name describes it well. It’s a rush of citrus! The thing that I’m not thrilled with is that the citrus flavor hits slightly harsh on the inhale. It’s not too bad, though, as I just modify my hits with a shorter inhale. While it’s not my favorite, I’m going to vape this until my tank’s been empty for a day or two (more on what that means in the next section).
How long does it last?

For a 16 mL device, the PIX lasts longer than expected, all thanks to the liquid feed system.
On a trip from Michigan to Ohio for my niece’s graduation, I meant to bring a fresh PIX but accidentally packed the two I thought were empty. I was pissed—until they both kept going. The “empty” devices lasted through the drive, the overnight hotel stay, and the trip back.
Important: If there's still a little bit of liquid in the tank, there’s still at least 5 mL inside ready to be vaped! No need to panic... yet.
As for the 800 mAh battery life, it’s solid, but hard to pin down for a couple of reasons. The device ships at ~87% charge, and a quick 1–2 minute charge gives you serious runtime. Like the ULTRA, I can get up to 110 hits off a short stay (a minute or two) on the charger. It doesn’t seem possible, but it’s the truth—no matter the cord or power source. Also, the PIX has pass-thru charging that’s active in seconds after plugging in, even with 0% battery power showing. I said all that to say, I’ve never charged it fully while I was actively vaping it. No need.
The first time I’ve charged the PIX fully is now, just to clock it. But that’s with a PIX I’m having to dispose of. There’s enough liquid left that it’s still producing good hits, but I know its time is coming to an end, and I’d rather be done with it before it produces a nasty hit.
At 40 minutes of charging, there’s a 62% charge. At 60 minutes, the charge is at 95%. With that bit of info, I now know that NEXA reduced the overall charge time of the PIX from the ULTRA, which took about 80 minutes to charge fully. Remember, both have an 800 mAh battery.

Verdict
I just love the NEXA PIX! It takes everything that made the ULTRA great and makes it better—from the simplified snap-to-activate design to the compact build, all the way down to the bite-friendly mouthpiece. And a full charge of the PIX is 20 minutes faster than the ULTRA, yet they both have 800 mAh batteries. All the updates are upgrades, besides the decrease in mL capacity (4 mL less in the PIX).
Other notable benefits of the PIX include improved flavor output and an expanded airflow range (which were already strong from the ULTRA). And thank goodness, one of the coolest aspects of the ULTRA is still present with the PIX: a remarkably substantial run time from a brief charge. Over 100 puffs from about a minute charge? I’ve seen it happen repeatedly, because I never charge these things fully.
What really wowed me, though, was how far I was able to push the seemingly “empty” devices. Even with just a couple drops of visible liquid left in the tank, they kept going for hours of vape time. That kind of reliability, paired with a simple setup and great flavor, puts the PIX in a league of its own.
I wholeheartedly recommend the NEXA PIX 35K. I don’t know that there is a better disposable vape on the market.
