Update
As of June 7, Vape NW is open again for online sales.
Fire has destroyed a well-known online vape vendor’s shipping facility in the Seattle-Tacoma area. Vape NW was located in a strip center that burned down in a fire during the early morning hours of May 21.
Vape NW opened in 2014, and has built a reputation as a trustworthy online vape store. They’re known for low prices, fast shipping, and responsive customer service.
Their website now has a notice reading, “Due to the fire we suffered a total loss, we are unable to process any returns or answer Help Desk tickets at this time. Please check back in 1 week as we work to restore our systems.”
The fire destroyed the business’s retail shop Total Vape too. Both Vape NW and Total Vape were located on S. 320th Street in Federal Way, WA — just north of Tacoma, and about 25 miles south of Seattle.
The strip of businesses also included two restaurants and a grocery store, according to the Tacoma News Tribune. The newspaper quoted a fire department official explaining that the building was constructed in the 1970’s, and did not have sprinklers or fire alarms. Firefighters were dispatched after a 911 call at 4:20 a.m. It’s uncertain how the fire began, or in which business.
