Black Widow Intro
Vaporizers have never been exactly cheap. From my experience, the best portables cost at least about a hundred bucks or more such as the G Pro, PAX 3 or the Matrix. The Black Widow only costs a fraction of that, so I am very curious how it will compare in terms of performance.
I have been testing many of the best portable vaporizers on the market and I’m very curious as to how the Black Widow is going to stack up. I find it odd that there is no manufacturer’s name on the box, but I’m pretty sure they also make another vaporizer called the Black Mamba.
Note
It has been brought to our attention that this vape could have some potential issues with the fiberglass filter. We highly suggest looking at the best portable dry herb vapes page for great alternatives under $100.

Thoughts
At last, this could be your cheap ride into the vape game. The question is, how does the Widow perform? I like the way it looks, the mouthpiece feels sturdy and is held on by a strong magnet. Although the Black Widow is not as small as the PAX, it will still fit in most pockets pretty nicely.
The Black Widow looks like an oversized PAX but it has an interesting ceramic chamber and air path. Although it doesn't have a fancy screen, the temperatures are well displayed on the device using LED lights, which honestly still look pretty cool.
The ceramic chamber is long and narrow. It holds about a half gram of herb. It also comes with a separate pod for wax/dab concentrates but probably doesn't hit as hard as a 510 wax atomizer. The Black Widow looks like a pretty well-made piece of gear, especially for the price. The real question is going to be how does it vape?
Performance
On the lower temperatures, I wasn't getting a satisfying amount of cloudage, and the flavor was just alright. On the higher settings, the Widow started putting out some decent vapor. The flavor from the ceramic chamber is great, a feature you won't even find on the latest PAX vaporizer.
The battery life is pretty impressive, with its internal battery rated at 2200mah, you can get a bunch of sessions before having to charge it again. For the price, you are getting all of the most important features that make an herbal vaporizer good, plus the option of using concentrates.
The one-button interface on the Black Widow is easy to use. There are really only two options, to turn on and off, press the button five times and to change heat settings, hold it for three seconds. One last thing I want to note is that the power button has a nice clicky feel to it.

Verdict
It is almost hard to fathom how it is possible for a $59 vaporizer to work as well as it does, but most of the time we’re just paying for fancy labeling and marketing apparently. The Black Widow puts an end to this by providing a quality vape experience with dry herb for a reasonable price.
If you are on the fence about getting into vaping dry herb or concentrates, then I recommend the Black Widow for you. The closest alternative would cost you at least $100-$299 in order to get a similar type of vapor experience. I never thought I would see the day. At last, a $59 vaporizer!
We would love to hear about your experience with the Black Widow, leave us a comment below!
Note
The Black Widow has gone up in price since we first did this review. Despite the higher price, it is still a great value compared to anything in its price range.
