Product intro and specs
The Adjust MyCool 40K is a contender for best disposable vape of 2024. It’s a thoughtfully designed disposable that offers a customizable experience in a clever way while still getting the basic things right.
Featuring the world’s first adjustable ice of up to four levels, 3x power modes, and a triple mesh coil, the Adjust MyCool has a lot going for it. Additionally, it contains a 20 mL liquid tank at 5% nicotine, with an extensive menu of 15 flavors. It’s powered by a rechargeable 850 mAh battery and features the coolest and most simplified smart screens for ice adjustment monitoring capacity levels.
Let’s get to it so I can explain why this device is so cool. Note: I’m going to use the word “cool” a lot in this review. Don’t worry, everything has its cons.
Price: $12.99 (at VapeSourcing)
Flavors: Baja splash, blue razz ice, cherry fuse, cherry strazz, dragon strawnana, mango magic, Miami mint, peach+, tigers blood, scary berry, sour apple ice, sour lush gummy, sour strawberry dragonfruit, summer splash, watermelon ice
Size, look, and feel
The MyCool 40K has a compact, ergonomic design built on a C-frame. Its exterior has an embossed geometric texture that makes it feel good and secure in the hand.
The exterior is playful while still being mature. The main body is off-white, with a light grey, fern-style pattern. The screen panel has a metallic color slightly suggestive of the flavor.
The mouthpiece is bite-friendly and ergonomically designed in the style that was made popular by the Geek Bar. Having just reviewed the OXBAR ICE-NIC, I mentioned that I often get juice in the mouth with so-called bite-friendly mouthpieces, but it hasn’t happened with the Adjust MyCool!
Now for the cool: the button! Oh, boy. It’s just a button to adjust the ice levels, but it’s one of the cooler details I’ve seen on a disposable. The button is transparent, with an ice-cube-fashioned texture that increases/decreases the ice levels. Once you press it, the screen illuminates to show your ice levels. Click it again, and an ice cube graphic will slide down the screen, indicating the addition of another level. When you take a hit, the ice cubes slide down the screen 1x1 like they’re being dropped into a glass, maxing out at four ice cubes. I rarely get excited by such things, but this button and screen are just too cool to hate on!
Note: Although the button is in the place where a fire button would be, it’s just for adjusting ice. The Adjust MyCool 40K has an automatic draw.
Getting started
Setting up with the MyCool 40K is simple and fun. After taking the device out of the package, you can start vaping immediately after turning it on. On the bottom of the device, there’s a really nice slider switch that serves as an on/off switch and adjusts the power levels and airflow. Each power level clicks into place and comes with its own built-in airflow. So, if you want more airflow, you’ll get more power, and vice versa if you want less power and airflow.
To change the puff modes, simply toggle through Turbo I, Turbo II, and Turbo III, which are indicated on the screen above the ice cubes. The power levels consume liquid to varying degrees. Here’s the approximate consumption rate:
- Turbo I (MTL; 1x airflow hole): 40,000 puffs
- Turbo II (loose MTL; 2x airflow holes): 30,000 puffs
- Turbo III (looser MTL; 3x airflow holes): 20,000 puffs
Changing the ice levels does not increase liquid consumption, so if you want strong ice but low power/airflow, you can go as cold as you want without guzzling juice.
The e-liquid and battery levels are indicated by small icons on the bottom of the screen. Each icon is metered in the shape of a square, divided into fourths. It’s such a subtle detail, and I totally missed it when one of my batteries first got depleted—I saw the lightning bolt but didn’t realize the meter was effectively at zero.
How does it hit?
The MyCool 40K delivers a smooth, quiet, and flavorful hit that engages quickly from the triple mesh coil. That coil provides clean yet robust flavor. The throat hit is present with each level but increases (obviously) with the higher power levels. Adding ice gives more oomph to the throat hit as well, should that be your thing.
Although I’ve experienced several devices lately with various types of flavor, power, and even nicotine adjustability, I feel that the MyCool has the greatest range of discernible differences (excluding the ZLand). The one thing the Adjust MyCool doesn’t accomplish is a restricted lung hit. It comes close, but it fails short, unlike the NEXA ULTRA. For me, though, I am not left wanting anything else when using Adjust MyCool.
I’ve found the best experience comes from Turbo III mode with at least 1x ice, but it varies depending on the flavor. I don’t usually appreciate the cooling sensation too much in disposable vapes, but the Adjust MyCool is different. The ice sensation really does enhance the whole experience, making for a livelier and more exciting vape.
Adjust MyCool 40K best flavors
The flavors on the MyCool 40K are vibrant, complex, and accurate to the description. Many of the flavors I’ve tried lean toward the sweet/tart profile, which lends itself well to the addition of ice. These are my five favorites:
Dragon strawnana: A tropical bite of dragon fruit mixed with the sweet earthiness of strawberries taking front stage, until the background hints of bananas come through on the exhale. Recommended with 2x ice and Turbo III.
Sour lush gummi: A sour interpretation of the pineapple gummi bears. Recommended with no ice and Turbo III. With this one, the ice overpowers the flavor, which already has a modest amount of ice. Turbo III is the level that allows more sweetness to come through.
Cherry strazz: Sour cherry and sweet strawberry mixed with a tart raspberry. The play of different taste experiences is high in this one, despite seeming like a common flavor. Recommended with 1x ice on Turbo III.
Scary berry: A variety of berries mixed with a heavy dose of the strawberry. It’s a complex, sweet/tart flavor that’s scary good! Recommended with no ice and Turbo I. There’s already a moderate amount of ice to the flavor that’s good enough without adding more.
Tiger’s blood: Maybe strawberry and cranberry? Dunno. It’s a mystery mix that has a dark red fruit flavor with a jolt of sour. Tiger’s blood is greatly enhanced with each ice cube and power mode. Recommended with 4x ice and Turbo III.
How long does it last?
After my first battery was depleted, my liquid level meter was still showing four bars (a complete square). Although I get about two charges per bar, by the final bar with a few of the flavors, the liquid started to taste off. Therefore, I feel that the liquid meter is not very accurate.
With an 850 mAh battery, I can vape for a full day without having to worry about recharging. But I’d recommend charging it at night because one con with the MyCool is that it has a long charge. It takes over an hour to go from depleted to full. Luckily the Adjust 40K has pass-thru charging, should you need to charge midday.

Verdict
If you're looking for a versatile and customizable vaping experience, you needn’t look further than the MyCool 40K. It features the industry’s first ice adjustability, and it works well! The flavor output is noteworthy, and the various power modes extend its flexibility.
The cons are the long charge and the fact that the liquid meter doesn't seem to be very accurate. Those cons are a bit annoying, but they come with the territory. Plenty of disposables have those same two cons.
For all the new breed of disposables with ice adjustability (and I’ve tried several), I’ve yet to experience one that can hold a candle to the Adjust MyCool 40K.
Enthusiastically recommended!
