The Off-Stamp X-Cube is packed with customizations, from screen animations to 3x power levels and adjustable airflow. Rated for 25K puffs, the X-Cube is a feature-filled 1100 mAh charging dock that connects to new Off-Stamp devices called Sweet Cube and Classic Cube. Each flavor cube holds 18 mL of e-liquid at 5% nicotine, featuring 16 new flavors, including adjustable sweetness options.

Product intro and specs

Off-Stamp is back with a new prefilled vape called the X-Cube 25K. Like the Off-Stamp SW 9000 and 16000, the X-Cube is a two-part vape with a magnetized 1100 mAh battery that powers and recharges Off-Stamp 100 mAh disposable vapes—which can also be used without attaching the battery. Where the SW series was more minimalistic in aesthetics and functions, the X-Cube has a colorful new look and is loaded with customizable features, like screen animations and 3x power modes.

The X-Cube battery device is only compatible with Off-Stamp’s new disposable line called "Classic Cube" and "Sweet Cube" (which I’ll call “flavor Cubes”.) They contain a dual-parallel mesh coil and hold 18 mL of e-liquid at 5% nicotine strength. The flavor Cubes have a two-stage adjustable airflow switch that is best suited for loose MTL up to a restricted lung hit. Additionally, the Sweet Cube has three levels of adjustable sweetness.

There are a lot of cool things going on with the X-Cube, but nothing is ever perfect. Let’s get to it and see what’s what.

Price: $12.99 (at Element Vape)
Flavors: (Sweet Cube) blue razz blow pop, grape rancher, lemon heads, sour berry bubblegum, sour lush gummy, sour wildberry gummy, strawberry rolls up, wintergreen candy (Classic Cube) bangin' peach, bangin' watermelon, blue razz ice, dragon strawnana, Florida sherbet, Hawaiian popsicle, Miami mint, rocket popsicle

Size, look, and feel

For the sake of simplicity, when I talk about the X-Cube, I’ll be talking about the full kit with the flavor Cubes attached. When it’s fully assembled, it’s got the feeling of a box mod, while functioning somewhere between a prefilled pod vape and a disposable.

The X-Cube measures 24 mm x 52 mm x 78 mm and weighs about 88 grams, making it slightly larger than the SW16000. Like the SW series, the X-Cube has super strong magnets that are a pleasure to use. The magnets seem slightly weaker than the SW series though, which is likely due to the increase in size of the X-Cube. That said, there’s only a minimal difference in the magnet strength. You’ll still enjoy separating the device in your hand and letting it snap back together with a loud clap! I know I do.

I’m on the fence with the look of the X-Cube. I can appreciate the product design aspects of it. And I don’t mind the pop-art patchwork of colors and images. My issue is simply that the colors are pastelish and high-key. It veers too far into toy land for me. I imagine, like me, there are a lot of people who wouldn’t even think of buying one of these based on the looks. I think an X-Cube stealth would be awesome. Make it all black or something. Setting aside the colors, I do like that the battery device has a rubberized texture with a matte finish, and the flavor Cubes have a glossy plastic finish.

On the positive side of things, the TFT 2.2” screen is quite nice. It’s bright and clear. What’s cool is that you can adjust the screen's brightness with the press of a button. The screen also features a smart readout for battery and e-liquid levels, along with colorful animations that you can change. The animations range from water splashes to a dancing sunflower. Each animation comes with its own half of the emoticon image classic to Off-Stamp. I don’t know if I care much about the animations, but they’re at least done well.

Lastly, the top button is for changing animations, and the side button is for changing power modes. Both buttons are clicky and have contrasting textures. They’re small details, but the top button is rubberized with a diamond-style texture; the side button is embossed with an “X” on hard plastic. From a tactile standpoint, I love having these devices in my hand.

Getting started

Vaping360 placeholder image

Although there’s a lot going on with the X-Cube, it’s really easy to get started. Again, when I’m talking about the X-Cube, it’ll be about the X-Cube battery device paired with the flavor Cubes, either Classic Cube or Sweet Cube. The Cubes can be used on their own, but with their 100 mAh battery, this probably only makes sense between charges.

When you have your X-Cube battery and flavor Cube, simply place them together and let the polarized magnets do the work. Do it again if it felt good!

Top button:

  • Change the animations (click once). There are five colorful animations, each with its own half of an emoticon that will give your device another expression.
  • Dim the screen (press and hold). There are three levels of screen brightness you can adjust.

Side button:

  • Change power levels (click once). The X-Cube allows you to change from light, to normal, to turbo mode. Each mode has its icon and animations, though you can change them to what you like with the top button.
  • Check battery/liquid level (click once). Both buttons access the screen, but the animation button takes a couple of seconds longer due to the length of the animations. The side button is the fastest for a quick status check.

Additionally, there’s an airflow switch located on the bottom of the flavor Cubes. It’s a two-stage airflow adjustment that supports a loose MTL up to a restricted lung hit. The airflow surprised me a bit because the two holes seem too small to work as effectively as they do for those types of hits. I do wish there was a smaller hole for a strict MTL. I think that would work well with the light power mode. Right now, the light mode feels a little too airy without the additional power, but that’s just a minor quibble. I do still use the light mode, so the airflow isn’t bothering me too much!

Lastly, if you’ve failed to stop vaping while your liquid meter is almost out, the device will stop you from vaping with a screen caption that says “Low oil!”. I honestly don’t like to see the word "oil." Still, it’s nice to have the reminder. Just remember that the flavor Cubes don’t have the same functionality by themselves.

How does it hit?

The X-Cube has a hit that’s smooth, quick, and flavorful. The throat hit is comfortable, and the power modes are noticeably different—light is cool and less intense, while turbo provides the strongest, warmest hit. I find myself using light mode when I want to conserve battery, and it still gives me a relatively satisfying vape.  So far, I’ve had no issues with leaking, spitting, or popping. And there have been no dry hits unless I was empty and didn’t know it.

Off-Stamp X-Cube best flavors

Vaping360 placeholder image

Off-Stamp makes some good flavors. I remember being impressed with the SW series flavors though I was new to Off-Stamp. They make a variety of sweet flavors mixed with fruits and icy notes. I think their flavors have a signature taste, which I like because it’s not the exact same taste as others on the market.

The main difference between the Sweet Cube flavors and the Classic Cube is that the Sweet Cube has adjustable sweetness. Other than that, there really isn’t much difference between the two lines in terms of types of flavors. I do like the Sweet Cube flavors more because the adjustable sweetness of the X-Cube works extremely well. With each sweetness adjustment, you can taste the difference.

These are my favorites:

Blue razz ice (Classic Cube): The classic sweet and tart combo, but with a pixie stick candy powder taste.

Florida sherbet (Classic Cube): The taste of a creamy and bright sherbet flavor of mixed exotic fruits. Very good. I’d like this one in the Sweet Cube.

Miami mint (Classic Cube): Typical Miami mint, but still good. A mash-up of spearmint, peppermint, and wintergreen. Although not in the Sweet Cube, the Miami Mint is fairly sweet.

Grape rancher (Sweet Cube): A sweet and bright grape flavor that tastes more like grape Kool-Aid than a Jolly Rancher. I like it with the sweetness level at 2.

Strawberry rolls up (Sweet Cube): A pureed and candy strawberry taste with a slight tart element. After sweetness level 1, you won’t taste the tart element. I like this one at level 3.

How long does it last?

Vaping360 placeholder image

The X-Cube batteries are supposed to have a total of 1200 mAh (1100 mAh for the battery, 100 mAh for the Cubes). The e-liquid is supposed to be 18 mL. I sense that both of those specs are exaggerated. I depleted the batteries and e-liquid far faster than I normally do.

One of the upsides of the X-Cube is that you don’t really need to stop vaping to charge. The X-Cube battery device gives its last battery power to the flavor Cube so that when the battery device dies, you can still vape the flavor Cube until the X-Cube battery is finished charging. And since the battery device has a quick charge, you don’t have to worry about the flavor Cube needing to last too long.

The quick charge X-Cube battery device charges in approximately 40 minutes. A 20-minute charge can get you through a day.

Verdict

I like the X-Cube a lot, despite having a couple of issues with it. The device itself is well-made, and it’s fun to interact with. I even find myself changing the screen animations. The flavors are tasty, and the overall experience is reminiscent of the SW series, which I liked too. The X-Cube gives you all that the SW series does, plus a whole lot more.

The adjustable power modes and airflow work well together, and the Sweet Cube’s adjustable sweetness is very noticeable. I’d go so far as to say it’s the most noticeable change in sweetness I’ve felt in an adjustable sweetness vape. The quick charge feature of the X-Cube is also a major plus. You can get enough battery in 20 minutes of a charge to last nearly a full day, while a complete charge takes only 40 minutes.

There are a few drawbacks. The toy-like appearance grates on my nerves. The patchwork of patterns and youthful palette is not exactly what I want to be carrying in my hands. I know I’m not the only one who would pass this up based on looks alone. However, my biggest issues are the battery and e-liquid capacity. I don’t use turbo mode much, but I went through these devices far quicker than normal. For a total of 1200 mAh and 18 mL, I should’ve gotten far more usage than I did.

At the end of the day, I still recommend the X-Cube. It’s a fun and well-executed device. Just don't buy it based on the advertised battery and e-liquid capacity, because you'll probably be disappointed.
