Product intro and specs
I enjoy flavors and clouds as much as the next person, but ultimately, I vape for the nicotine. For someone like me, vaping without it seems pointless. So when a box of nicotine-free vapes showed up for review, my lack of enthusiasm was expected. What I didn’t expect was how much I’d enjoy them. In fact, they’re so satisfying that I often forget they contain no nicotine at all. Introducing the Cyclone Pods Gust Pro 20K: a 0% disposable vape that earned 100% of my respect.
On paper, it’s a fairly standard device: a rectangular body, an 850 mAh battery, turbo mode, 20 mL of e-liquid, and a basic display. It also offers adjustable ice levels, a super squishy mouthpiece, and independently tested e-liquid. So what makes it special? Honestly, I don’t know! There are no mystery ingredients, only plant-derived, USP-grade VG and PG, and food-grade flavorings.
Somehow, the Gust Pro is greater than the sum of its parts. Keep reading to find out why this unassuming disposable changed my mind about nicotine-free vaping.

Size, look, and feel
As far as modern disposables go, the Cyclone Pods Gust Pro fits right in. It’s a glossy plastic rectangle with curved edges, a couple of buttons, and a large color display. One thing does set it apart, though: the aesthetic. All of the devices are solid white with black branding; only the flavor names are printed in color. From one perspective, it could be seen as a futuristic stormtrooper look; from another, it could be considered boring. Either way, I love it! The industry needs more mature, clean designs like this.
The color screen on the front of the device is simple, bright, and intuitive. It displays the power mode, liquid level, ice level, and battery percentage, each in a distinct color. But the biggest star of the show (for me) is the mouthpiece. This one takes the “bite-friendly” concept to another level. It’s extra soft and squishy, more so than any disposable I’ve ever tried. It’s an absolute joy to use.
As usual, I do have a couple of criticisms. First, while the curved device feels great in the hand, it’s definitely on the chunky side (31 mm thick). The thickness isn’t surprising, though. The Gust Pro features a secondary tank for ice-control, so a size compromise was necessary. Second, the entire front of the device consists of a panel that snaps into the body. The upper seam of this panel can sometimes be felt by your lips when vaping. It doesn’t ruin the experience, but it is a minor annoyance.
Getting started
Getting up and running with the Gust Pro is incredibly easy. Press any button once to wake up the screen. Then click the top button to toggle between regular and turbo modes, and the bottom button to adjust the ice level. The device is draw-activated, so just inhale to vape. That’s all there is to it! Note that there is no airflow control, which is surprising given that Cyclone Pods highly prioritized customizability with this series.
How does it hit?
This is where things get really interesting. I’ve vaped a few nicotine-free disposables and e-liquids previously, but they didn’t do much for me. Sure, the flavor was there, but the throat hit and overall satisfaction were lacking. It’s like drinking non-alcoholic beer, which lacks that extra kick to round out the experience.
Cyclone Pods, however, annihilated my expectations. Even without nicotine or AFC, the loose-MTL hit is outstanding! I don’t know what sorcery is at play here, but the Gust Pro delivers a defined throat hit, comparable to a 20-30 mg nic salt. I actually had to double-check the packaging to confirm that it was nicotine-free when I first used it. It’s remarkably convincing, especially with turbo mode and a burst of ice.
Just to temper expectations, this isn’t some miraculous product that will end your nicotine dependence overnight. I vaped the Gust Pro exclusively for about six hours one day, completely forgetting that it didn’t have nicotine. Eventually, my body alerted me that something was off, and I balanced myself out with a “proper vape.” Still, that’s a lengthy session for someone who rarely goes an hour without nicotine. If one were committed to ending their nicotine dependence, the Gust Pro could play a huge role in the process. Regardless, I would still recommend tapering down gradually to reduce withdrawal symptoms.
Cyclone Pods Gust Pro best flavors
The Cyclone Pods Gust Pro lineup includes 14 unique flavors. It’s mainly a mix of bright fruits, plus a handful of mint blends. I received only four flavors for testing, so my impressions are rather limited. However, I thoroughly enjoyed three of them, so while I can’t vouch for the others, I have high expectations.
Pina Colada: I’m a big fan of pineapple flavors, and this one didn’t disappoint. The pineapple tastes fresh and ripe, and the light splash of coconut brings balance without being overwhelming. This one could easily be an all-day vape for me.
Mango Peach Fusion: A classic pairing done right! Fresh mango takes the spotlight, but a blast of peach complements it. To me, the peach almost tastes like gummy candy or soft, dried peaches, which brings some complexity to the mix.
Blue Razz: Milder and more delicate than your average blue razz, and I think that’s what I like about it. It’s not extremely sweet or candy-like; it’s more of an approachable fruit blend. I even pick up the faint tartness of blackberry, but I may be imagining that.
How long does it last?
The Gust Pro features an 850 mAh battery and USB-C charging. It tends to last me a full day, but your experiences may differ. Regardless, nicotine users should expect to burn through the battery (and the device) faster than usual. Without nicotine to remind your body to slow down, it’s easy to vape more frequently. It’s also worth noting that, like many disposables, the percentage displayed is less accurate when the battery is low. For me, a 10% battery only delivers about 10 puffs on turbo mode.
A full charge requires about 70 minutes, at an average rate of 1 amp. Again, there’s nothing particularly impressive or disappointing here; it’s pretty much par for the course. Unfortunately, though, there is no pass-through charging, which would be a nice inclusion.
One thing the Gust Pro does unusually well is accurately report the charge status. Many devices display 100% long before the final trickle charge is complete, meaning they’re not quite fully charged. The Gust Pro accounts for most of this final stage. When it says 100%, it’s almost exactly 100% (at most, it will trickle in 2-3 mAh over the next minute).
As for longevity, I averaged 30% of the liquid per charge on turbo mode. The readings were somewhat inconsistent, with values ranging from 22% to 35%. However, that’s often the case with disposables, as liquid indicators still aren’t a perfect science.

Verdict
As someone who primarily vapes for nicotine, I never expected a nicotine-free disposable to hold my attention for long. Yet the Gust Pro consistently delivered a flavorful, satisfying experience that compelled me to keep reaching for it. The adjustable ice levels, comfortable mouthpiece, and convincing throat hit significantly add to the appeal. More importantly, it forced me to analyze my own nicotine dependence. Am I consuming more nicotine than my body really needs? Probably.
My reason for giving it a perfect score is that it’s the best nicotine-free vape I’ve ever used. However, that should not imply that the device itself is perfect. It’s not. Omitting airflow control and pass-through charging were major oversights, as I feel these should be standard on all modern vapes. Also, it’s an especially chunky device, so it’s not as pocket-friendly as many would prefer.
Despite its flaws, the Cyclone Pods Gust Pro is still a phenomenal no-nic disposable. If you’re trying to reduce or eliminate your nicotine intake, it could be an invaluable part of that journey. Again, I wouldn’t recommend jumping from 50 mg to zero overnight, but it’s an excellent option when you’re ready.
