Product intro and specs
The FASTA Burrst 35000 is both a unique disposable, and part of a new breed of vapes with advanced and novel features. My first introduction into this realm of devices was the ZLand pod system that lets you mix up to 3x prefilled flavors of your choosing. The FASTA Burrst 35000 is more straightforward from an interface perspective. All you need is contained in the device. With their patented flavor-boosting technology, you can either change the flavor or boost it. Here’s the rundown:
The FASTA Burrst 35000 contains an 850 mAh, USB-C rechargeable battery. Like most disposables, it contains 50 mg/mL nicotine, with a total capacity of 25 mL. The reason I said “total capacity” is that the device contains two separate liquid tanks, a primary tank (18 mL) and a Burrst tank (7 mL). The Burrst tank is activated by holding a button, allowing the user to either increase the ice sensation, fizz sensation (for their soda flavors), or alter the flavor altogether (like from matcha cake to matcha frappuccino).
Additionally, the FASTA Burrst 35000 is equipped with a Nexcore Dual Mesh Coil atomizer (utilizing four total coils), a three-way adjustable airflow system, three power modes, and a 2.7-inch touchscreen TFT display for monitoring battery and liquid (both tanks monitored separately).
The ability to change the flavor of your vape with an extra button is truly modern. However, the standards of what makes a “good vape” remain. Does it function without a hiccup? Are the flavors good? Let’s see about that.
Price: $17.99 (at Mi-pod)
Flavors: (Ice series) Blue razz ice, watermelon ice, Miami mint, blueberry watermelon, sour apple ice, Mexico mango, strawberry banana, peach mango watermelon, white grape; (Fizz series) meta moon, fcuking fab, juicy peach, grape b-pop/grape soda, lime spark, lime cucumber, matcha cake/matcha frappuccino
Size, look, and feel
I love the size and hand feel of the FASTA Burrst 35000. It’s shaped like an original SXMini, with a similar button placement. The metallic-colored Burrst button sits atop the curved section where the C-frame meets the main body. It’s a perfect button design with a perfect placement for engaging the special feature. The only issue is that there’s a slight rattle to the button.
Like the DOJO SPHERE X, the FASTA Burrst 35000 is manufactured with a glossy plastic body. It’s a fingerprint and scratch magnet because of the glossy plastic, but the gloss and C-frame make the device easy (and a pleasure) to hold.
The device weighs 100 grams, and the dimensions are 26 mm x 51.5 mm x 89.5 mm (not including the mouthpiece). The mouthpiece is a flattened duckbill style, which I believe is the most ergonomic and comfortable design for a mouthpiece.
The FASTA Burrst 35000 has a more mature design than many disposables in that it’s mostly black, except for the contrasting and transparent (flavor) color along the curved section. The button is also a contrasting color, with several different colored buttons.
The TFT touchscreen contains all the information needed to monitor your levels, including your Burrst tank’s capacity. Although it’s a touchscreen, there’s a dedicated button right below the information readout to change the power levels. In that regard, it’s only activated when touching that spot, and it requires a double-tap to activate and change. No accidental settings changes.
Getting started
Kudos to FASTA for making the instructions impossible to miss. Once you’ve removed the device from the package, there’s a vinyl sticker with simple instructions across the screen. Heck, even after you remove it, those same instructions appear on the screen for a little while. I’m not sure when they go away, but at some point they no longer appear.
While it may look like this is a button-fire device, it’s actually auto-draw. The Burrst button is only used if you want to boost your flavor.
On the bottom of the Burrst 35000, there is a slide switch for airflow control. It’s got a nice resistance to it, and it has a three-stage click for each setting. Despite there being three airflow settings, the range is a loose MTL up to an (almost) direct-lung hit.
As mentioned in the previous section, to change the power levels, double tap the small screen button.
- Smooth: 16 W
- Normal: 20 W
- Turbo: 24 W
There are animations that display on the screen when you take a hit using the Burrst button. For the fizz series, bubble graphics pop up, and for the ice series, snowflake graphics animate.
How does it hit?
Warm, smooth, fast, and quiet. The hit from the FASTA Burrst 35000 is quite pleasant. I find myself chain-vaping these with zero hiccups. There have been no issues with gurgling, juice in the mouth, or leaking. All in all, the hit is virtually flawless. The only issue I have is that it never quite nails a proper MTL, always veering to the loose MTL despite being on the lowest setting. Despite that being an issue, it’s nothing that irks me while in use. It’s just something I think about when critiquing the device. In action, I have no complaints.
I’m a bit on the fence with the Burrst button. It works, but in most of the flavors I’ve tried, it’s a bit redundant for me. Don’t get me wrong, the hit gets fuller, warmer, and more robust. You can best tell the difference between the vape from the non-boosted and boosted versions by taking a regular hit, then boosting it while continuing to inhale. You can feel the other coils engage. For the flavors that are boosted with extra ice or fizz, the Burrst button is basically an amplification. Only one of the flavors I’ve tried actually gets better in turbo mode and with the Burrst button—but I've only tried five out of the twelve flavors available.
FASTA Burrst 35000 best flavors
Even without the flavor boost technology, I would say that the flavor from the FASTA Burrst 35000 is saturated and vibrant. These devices are very flavorful, but they never taste over-flavored like some disposables. The flavor boost technology is cool to have, but frankly unneeded. Of the flavors I got, the only one I didn’t like (at all) is sour apple. As an aside, I’ve tasted several sour apple flavors in disposables, and I don’t like any of them. Message to manufacturers: cancel the sour apple!
The fizz series is interesting. There is a carbonated sensation that intensifies with using the button. It’s slightly like an ice experience but with a distinct effervescence.
Blue razz ice: Sweet and tart, with all the qualities vapers love of blue razz ice. For whatever reason, this flavor tastes great in turbo mode and hitting the Burrst button. For fans of blue razz ice, this is one you must try!
Grape B-pop/grape soda: It’s a highly flavored candy grape flavor, veering close to being over-flavored. This one misses the mark a bit. Plus, taking grape b-pop to grape soda doesn’t offer enough contrast in flavor to be notable.
Lime spark (fizz): A bright and tart lime flavor with enough sweetness to keep you coming back. This one is a soda flavor, and the device boosts that sparkly element when you hold the button. Again, I don’t use the button much with this one.
Matcha cake/matcha frappuccino: Floral and nutty notes of green tea, mixed with a velvety cake. It’s sort of a strange mix, but I like it. I don’t use the boost much on this one, as I prefer the taste of the matcha cake flavor. I would’ve rather had a cake boost than a separate flavor. Also, I don’t get much taste of frappuccino when I do use the Burrst button. Still, very good.
Miami mint: The full suite of mint flavors with a bit more sweetness than normal. There’s a fair amount of cooling on its own, so I don’t see a huge need for the flavor boost on this one either. But if you are the type to like more cooling, this might be a good time to floor it.
Mexico mango: This flavor is deeply flavored with the mouth-watering flavor of mango puree. It reminds me of the GeekBar Mexico mango. The Burrst button with this flavor tones down the mango somewhat, so it could be used to not only intensify the ice but subdue the mango (if anyone would ever want to do that!).
Watermelon ice: Sweet and perky watermelon flavor with a modest amount of cooling. The same situation applies here with Miami mint: if you like the cooling flavor, you can add more if you like. This is a good one that can take the Burrst button and turbo. Then again, it’s great in smooth mode without the boosted flavor.
How long does it last?
Even with so many variables, I can say that the Burrst 35000 lasts quite a while for puffs. I’ve already gotten 4x charges and still have about 30% of the main tank left. I tend to use them more in smooth mode (16 watts), so expect to get less mileage out of the liquid if you stay in turbo mode (24 watts).
Something I’m still trying to wrap my head around is what happens when the main tank runs out, but there’s still ample Burrst liquid left. For instance, my matcha cake/matcha frappuccino is the one running low for the main tank (about 30%), but the Burrst tank is at 98%. I can taste the matcha cake flavor running low, but when I hit Burrst button, it feels fully flavored again (just minus the cake taste).
The FASTA Burrst 35000 charges in approximately 45 minutes, which is considered a fast charge time. The average charge time for disposables of similar mAh is 60 minutes or more. One thing I’m not a fan of is that when you charge, the screen goes black after a minute or so. When you want to check the charge status, you have to press the Burrst button or double-tap the touchscreen button. Luckily, the FASTA Burrst 35000 does have pass-thru charging. So when you go to check the status, it’s cool if you start vaping on it while it’s plugged up.

Verdict
I really like the FASTA Burrst 35000. After I opened a new Burrst 35000, I kept using it until the battery died. Before long, they all needed to be charged (except sour apple).
The vape quality of the FASTA Burrst 35000 is top-notch. It’s a really enjoyable experience to use them. The one gripe I have with these devices is that the technology could be put to better use. I think there could’ve been a more lively curation of alternate flavors to be boosted. I guess if you just want more ice or fizz to your vape, that’s a plus. But if you can actually have a separate flavor, why have it so close to the original? Like with grape b-pop and grape soda. I won’t call the flavor boost technology a gimmick; it's just maybe still in its infancy for best use.
With all that said, I do highly recommend these devices for their performance and vape quality. I’m interested to see where this goes next.
