Sanyo NCR20700A
Sanyo is a well-known name way beyond the vape industry. They are one of the few original manufacturers of 20700s—-these are not re-wrapped cells. It is a great middle-ground option for capacity and power, and it is rated at 30A and 3100 mAh. A reliable battery and a great option for any style of vaping.
The 20700 vape battery started appearing around mid-2017, with mods like the Innokin Oceanus. Besides vape mods, 20700 batteries are also being utilized for cordless power tools, flashlights, and electric vehicles. In vaping, 20700s had been gaining traction for a while, but they are now being phased out as most 20700-compatible mods can fit the better performing 21700 cells.
Some of the more popular manufacturers like Sony, Samsung and LG don’t have any 20700s for sale. Many of the top 20700s are actually rewrapped cells, and are often inaccurately rated with exaggerated specs. If you want a variety of legitimate options, using an 18650 with an adapter may be the best solution for you. And don't forget to always do your research and only buy from credible sources, such as those that are offered on this page.
How we picked the batteries
Choosing “best batteries” is not something to pick simply based on subjective likes. While our international team of experts and vape enthusiasts use the batteries on our lists, our recommendations and product selection could not have taken place without first going over the data offered by Battery Mooch.
Battery Mooch (or just Mooch) is the vape community’s expert tester of batteries. For a few years now, he’s been supplying the community with in-depth and reliable testing for the majority of batteries used in vaping.
This is not his list of best batteries, though all these batteries have been verified by his battery charts to be worthy of inclusion. Mooch and his highly detailed research can be found on his E-cigarette Forum blog, and also on YouTube and Reddit.
