Vandvape introduces the Phiness Vega

Vandy Vape finally made a pod vape! But it’s under a different name. Phiness (pronounced FIN-is, not “finesse”) is the brand name of these new pocketable and user-friendly devices, designed and manufactured by Vandy Vape. They debuted the Phiness brand with three new kits at the 2019 IECIE Expo in Shenzhen, China.

Vega will be the first release. It’s a bite-sized vape with refillable MTL pods ideally suited for nic salt and high-strength e-juice. It comes with a standard top-fill under the mouthpiece, and it has a 250 mAh battery. Vegas will be sold with a lanyard for easy carry, and they come in 12 distinct color combinations and finishes. All the colorful resin you can imagine, and even textured leather and carbon fiber.

Price: Less than $20 for the kit; 9.99 for 4-pack of refillable pods
Colors: Zircon Green, Volcano Orange, Pince Cone Green, Coral Red, Crystal Purple, Rock Grey, Peacock Green, Gem Blue, Carbon Fiber Black, Leather Black, Python Green, Diamond Black

The start of the Phiness line

Although the Vega isn’t a Vandy Vape-branded product, it has the hallmarks of their manufacturing. It’s designed nicely, it’s well-made, and it has an MTL draw. It’s quite small; measuring 12 mm x 28 mm x 66 mm, and it weighs only 25 g. As for overall height, it’s actually along the lines of the Simple EX by Vandy Vape, but that’s a box mod. The Vega is thinner, more narrow and much more lightweight.

For the Vega to be so small, it sure commands attention. When I saw Vandy Vape at the IECIE Expo, it was one of the first things I noticed. In part because of its size and good looks, and in part because it’s a pod vape from Vandy Vape. My first questions was, “what is that?!” Vandy Vape never had a pod vape before! Sure, they’re famous for making excellent MTL atomizers, but they’re typically rebuildables or just outside of the realm of true beginner products. Speaking with the owner of Vandy Vape, he said that’s why these products will be under the Phiness name. He didn’t think they fit in the Vandy Vape line. I agree.

Get your nic salt ready!

The Phiness Vega is going to be priced to move. It’s slated to be sold for under $20, and the pod packs are going to be sold for $9.99 for sets of four. I got a chance to try one at the Vandy Vape offices and, although it was a pre-production model, it was a pleasure to use. It’s got a tight MTL draw and nice hit. It’s exactly what you’d expect from a device of its size. Get your nic salt ready!

The one question left unanswered is about the consistency of the coils (pods). All too often a device comes out deserving of positive reviews, then time passes and the quality control starts to fall off. As long as Vandy Vape, I mean, Phiness can keep up with the demand and QC, I see no reason why this pod vape won’t sell well. When you see one, and especially when you use one, you’ll understand.
