The MAXRAY RUSH 80K is the latest disposable vape to use juice-control technology. Admittedly, I was skeptical of these systems at first, but they quickly won me over. Regulating e-liquid delivery helps preserve freshness, prevent leaks, and maintain ideal coil saturation. It’s a seemingly small factor, but the difference can be surprisingly noticeable.
The RUSH takes its own approach with its intriguing Juicy Guard system. It’s a surprisingly simple mechanism, and you can even see it in action through the transparent tank. It’s also backed by a solid feature list, including turbo mode, fully adjustable airflow, and a 900 mAh battery. Most notably, it holds a substantial 25 mL of e-liquid.
Of course, execution and performance matter most. I’ve put the RUSH through its paces to see whether the Juicy Guard can deliver on its promises. Does it keep the coil consistently saturated? Let’s find out.

Size, look, and feel
The MAXRAY RUSH’s build quality impressed me immediately. The materials feel high-quality, the finish is excellent, and everything fits together seamlessly. The C-frame chassis is likely plastic, but it feels so premium it could easily be mistaken for metal. It has tactile printing on the back and a contrasting plastic panel on the front that hides the display. While I appreciate the stealth appeal, the display is difficult to see outdoors on sunny days.
If disposables had sizes, I’d consider the MAXRAY RUSH a medium. “Stout” is probably the most accurate descriptor: it’s relatively short, but it’s also 28 mm thick, which may be a drawback for some. Its rounded corners lend to a nice hand feel, and the bite-friendly mouthpiece is equally comfortable.
The RUSH’s standout feature is its Juicy Guard system. The concept is similar to other pump systems, such as the TASTEFLEX CRESMO’s E-VALVE, but the design is unique. The large transparent tank has a divider near the bottom that separates a small, secondary reservoir. A red stopper pops up and down to regulate how much e-liquid enters the secondary chamber and reaches the cotton. It even seals off the coil section after a few minutes of non-use to prevent leaking. You’ll hear a subtle popping sound whenever it activates, which may take some getting used to.
Getting started
Using the MAXRAY RUSH 80K is easy and intuitive. Click the button on the side of the device to alternate between the two power modes: normal and turbo. The bottom-mounted airflow slider is fully adjustable (no clickable positions), providing a tight-to-loose MTL experience. It’s also recessed, and the tension is excellent, so accidental adjustments are unlikely. After dialing in your settings, simply inhale to vape.
Much like the Lost Mary MT35000 Turbo, the RUSH’s display is cleverly hidden behind the front panel. It activates whenever you take a puff, click the button, or charge, showing the battery percentage and power mode. Note that it doesn’t include an e-liquid level indicator because the tank is transparent. This device will not cut you off when the liquid is gone, so you’ll need to monitor the level yourself.
How does it hit?
In my experience, disposables with juice-regulating systems have always been incredibly flavorful. The MAXRAY RUSH 80K is no exception. The hit is phenomenal. Rich, juicy, and intense! In fact, it’s so satisfying that I rarely feel compelled to use turbo mode, even when the battery is low. Normal mode suits me just fine (which isn’t something I say often!). Still, turbo mode produces a more defined throat hit, so I’m glad the option is there when I need it.
The auto-draw also functions flawlessly, and the airflow is very smooth in most settings. It can get turbulent if you restrict it too much, but I don’t see this affecting many users.
Unfortunately, one of my devices did get a bit oversaturated at one point. It didn’t gurgle or flood, but I got liquid on my lips frequently for several minutes. Eventually, the Juicy Guard worked its magic and balanced it back out. Aside from that instance, the RUSH has been a superb performer.
MAXRAY RUSH 80K best flavors
The MAXRAY RUSH flavor lineup currently includes a dozen options. Most are standard fare, but a few are slightly more adventurous. Still, there’s plenty of room to grow, and I hope they do. The device itself is awesome, but MAXRAY seems to be playing it safe with the inaugural menu (as companies often do).
I received five flavors for testing; the following were the standouts:
Frozen piña colada: Easily my favorite in the mix, but I’m also a sucker for both pineapple and coconut flavors. It tastes exactly like you’d expect: fresh pineapple, natural coconut, and a splash of ice. It’s the ideal summertime flavor, but I’d be happy to vape this one year-round.
Miami mint: While some Miami Mint versions miss the mark, this one captures the profile perfectly: a blast of cool mint balanced with mysterious fruity notes. It’s wonderfully refreshing, neither too cold nor too sweet. A classic flavor done right.
Fcuking FAB: One of my favorite variations of the iconic disposable flavor. It features tangy tropical and citrus notes paired with the signature candy profile. It’s slightly more artificial-leaning than I would prefer, but still an excellent blend. If Fcuking FAB is one of your go-to flavors, you won’t be disappointed. But even if it isn’t, this one might change your mind.
How long does it last?
The 900 mAh battery in the MAXRAY RUSH 80K is fairly typical for a modern disposable, but the actual runtime surprised me. I can get a day and a half from a full charge, which is what I’d expect from a 1100 mAh battery. Realistically, that’s probably because I prefer normal mode on this device, whereas I typically switch modes throughout the day. Turbo users will obviously deplete the battery much faster.
Charging takes almost exactly one hour (59 minutes), at an average rate of 0.84 amps. But you don’t need to worry about downtime, since the device offers pass-through charging. It’s a handy feature that far too many manufacturers overlook. I measured the recharge capacity at 780 mAh, which is 86.6% of the rating. 80% is typically considered acceptable for disposable vapes, so I’m more than happy with the result.
Ultimately, the battery capabilities are neither amazing nor disappointing. They’re roughly in line with the rest of the market, so regular disposable users should know what to expect. The real advantage here is the 25 mL capacity. If an 18 mL device normally lasts you a week, you could potentially get 10 days from the RUSH 80K.

Verdict
I had never heard of MAXRAY before this review, but they made a great first impression! The RUSH is a top-tier disposable that ticks almost every box on my list. It offers terrific flavor, serious liquid capacity, a crystal-clear tank, excellent build quality, and useful innovation.
The Juicy Guard system is especially impressive, ensuring almost every hit is as saturated and satisfying as the last. I love how it seals off the coil section after a few minutes. I never have to worry about gurgling or an off-taste after long periods of inactivity. It also minimizes leaking concerns during air travel.
I only have two functional complaints. First, I temporarily experienced an oversaturated coil. Second, the display can be difficult to see in sunny conditions. I’m also not a fan of the two-tone design with contrasting panel colors, but that’s subjective. Others may feel differently.
Overall, the MAXRAY RUSH 80K has the polish I would expect from a much more established name in the disposable scene. I’m genuinely excited to see if the company’s future releases can match or surpass this one.
