Avida is relatively new to the CBD industry. They currently offer four flavors of CBD vape juice that are available in three different strengths. They also have two types of CBD oil tinctures and three CBD infused JUUL compatible pods. Avida seems to be doing things right so far. They make their third party lab tests available on their website for all of their CBD products.
They also claim to use the highest standards of production. They use CBD isolate made through CO2 extraction that does not contain any THC, except for their full spectrum tinctures. They have transparent business practices, priding themselves on strong customer service and fair prices. Avida also provides free shipping to orders over $75.
Update: As of 3/18/20, Avida has made their products more affordable than ever. Their 1000 mg CBD vape juice blend went down from $99 to just $44. This also applies to their CBD oils and gummies, which are now even more competitively priced.
The products were sent to me courtesy of Avida for the purpose of this review.
The four flavors I received each come in classy black 30 mL dropper bottles. They all have a similar stylish design featuring their logo with colors that correspond to each one. The flavors were crafted by an expert mixologist who was awarded for his Fried Cream Cakes recipe. It’s time to crack open these bottles and find out what Avida CBD is all about. I will be testing these flavors orally and by using various CBD vape pens and pod vapes.
This seems to be Avida’s first attempt at a dessert flavor. Even though I’m not the biggest fan of blueberry-themed vapes, it happens to be really good. It has a natural blueberry taste with a smooth creamy finish. I’m glad to see Avida offer something for the dessert lovers. I would love to see more flavors from them in this department, maybe a cinnamon custard? The creaminess of this flavor balances out the taste of the CBD, which is already pretty subtle. It adds some tart fruit flavor to the mix, and rounds it out pretty well. If you’re into blueberry dessert flavors, you’ll probably like it.
Iced fruit flavors aren’t my thing. With that said, I was very impressed with this flavor. When I opened it up and gave it a whiff, I was taken by surprise. This flavor has a very sweet and tangy candy flavor with a cool icy finish. The cooling effect adds a nice little throat hit and makes the CBD isolate harder to identify. This one actually ended up becoming one of my favorite Avida flavors. It’s not trying to be fancier than its name suggests, it tastes just like strawberry kiwi candy with a hint of ice. It’s not exactly sour, but it will probably satisfy a lot of people who love tangy candy flavors on ice.
I’m going to sound like a real juice snob, but I’ve never cared for melon vapes much. However, this flavor tastes more like iced lemonade with a hint of berry and melon, and I love lemonade vapes! I’m not sure which melon they were going for because it’s so subtle. It reminds me of watermelon. Either way, this is quite a unique blend with a nice amount of citrus added. It tastes like ice cold lemonade mixed with watermelons and berries. It’s worth a shot if you’re into lemonade flavors, especially on ice. I could do without the iced bit, but it’s still a really nice flavor and I’ve tried dozens of lemonades over the years.
Everyone loves fruit punch, right? Well, it really depends on which fruits and how it is mixed. This one happens to be very well executed. Though I’m not big into iced fruit flavors, I can appreciate the variety of fruits that make this flavor pop. After vaping so many iced flavors, it starts to grow on you. I like the extra throat hit it provides, and it provides a nice cooling effect on the exhale. If you can’t think of which fruit you like the most, this flavor will satisfy a general craving for fruits. It is refreshing and well crafted. It’s nice to see that Avida has been working on new flavors to add to their already awesome line-up.
Avida CBD offer CBD vape juice flavors that pop. If you enjoy well crafted e-juice that tastes like candy, you’re going to love their flavors. They also offer an unflavored additive to infuse your current favorites with CBD. Avida CBD is available in 250, 500 and 1000 mg CBD and is made using THC-free CBD isolate.
As soon as I opened the bottle, I caught a strong whiff. It smells just like real candy. Testing it under my tongue, I immediately notice the overwhelming sweetness. They have a pretty unique take on the classic blue raspberry candy flavor. It’s well balanced in terms of flavor, although it seems a bit sweet for oral use, but that becomes a lot more tolerable when you vape it. If you’re into blue razz flavored e-juice, and want something with an authentic candy taste, get Blue Razz.
This one reminds me of a very specific candy from my childhood, but I can’t pinpoint it. The best way I could describe it is like those purple pixy sticks. I’m starting to suspect that most of these flavors will cater to the sweet tooth vaper. This one is also very sweet and has a candy-inspired taste that is surprisingly spot on. I’m not tasting the berry as much as the grape, but it was probably added to give it a bit more character. If you’re into grape and berry candy flavors, you’ll enjoy their Berry Grape flavor.
This one seems to be the sweetest flavor out of the bunch so far. It’s a bit sweet for my taste, but it does have a nice mango taste. I’m not sure where they got the “manga” part from, I’m guessing it’s a reference to Japanese comics? Anyways, Manga Mango is another well-crafted flavor inspired by real candy. If you’re not looking for an extremely sweet CBD e-juice, then this one might not be for you. However, if you desire a super sweet mango candy flavor infused with CBD, then give Manga Mango a try.
All of the flavors from Avida that I’ve tried so far were very sweet. I was hoping to give my sweet tooth a break with this flavorless blend. Nope, that’s not gonna happen. As soon as I opened the bottle and gave it the smell test, it actually has a sweet aroma to it. I put some under my tongue and noticed right away that it must contain some degree of sweetener. When they say flavorless, they mean no flavor, but it does have a taste. I’m guessing they did this to balance out the slight bitterness of the cannabidiol content. If you’re looking for CBD vape juice minus the fancy flavors, Flavorless is the way to go.
I had the opportunity to test out Avida’s new disposable CBD vape pens recently. They look a lot like many of the popular disposable nicotine vapes on the market right now, but are nicotine-free and packed with 100 mg of CBD. They contain 1 mL of their signature vape juice flavors and they’re available in 6 varieties. Each one is said to be good for approximately 300 puffs. So, that means they provide around 0.33 mg per puff, so you can get a nice hearty dose of CBD throughout the day with just a few puffs, a few times a day. There is a flavorless option for people who just want the CBD content without any added flavorings. But if you’re into flavors, then you’re in for a real treat.
The first flavor that I had to try was Berry Grape. It’s still my favorite flavor in their line, and it tastes best with pod-style devices based on my experience because it is pretty sweet. I think they have finally figured out how to make a disposable device that hits just as good (if not better) than some of the more popular vapes out there. Big props on the design choice. To make a long story short, Berry Grape tastes exactly how it should. The other flavors, which I was already familiar with, were also on point. The flavorless has a slight sweetness, but that’s about it. All in all, I would recommend these vape pens if you just want to vape CBD without any effort. Just pull it out of the box and start puffing away.
They are also a nice option to carry as a backup. You can easily slip one into your pocket or bag. They’re also a great way to test out some of their flavors before buying an entire bottle of it.
Avida offers their signature CBD blends in disposable format! Each vape is bursting with flavor and contains 300 mg of maximum purity pharmaceutical-grade CBD isolate. They are thoroughly tested by a third party lab for quality and consistency. The flavors range from fruits to tangy candy like mango and blue razz.
Avida also offers two spearmint-flavored CBD oil tinctures. They are coconut oil based and meant specifically for oral use. (They are NOT suitable for inhalation.) One of them is a full spectrum tincture containing just under the legal limit of 0.3% THC. The other one is a broad spectrum CBD oil, which is THC-free. I think it is great that Avida makes a clear distinction between the two. The full spectrum tincture contains a range of seven phyto cannabinoids and nine terpenes. The broad spectrum one contains four phyto cannabinoids and six terpenes. They are also both pesticide free, which can be verified by looking at the independent lab test results on their site.
I have been taking about one dropper’s worth (1 mL) alternating between each tincture for the last few days. The flavor is rather neutral, with a pleasant minty aftertaste. It doesn’t taste like artificial flavoring, it’s very natural. According to Avida, they actually use fresh spearmint extract. They also utilize their own proprietary blend of CBD oil. They call it Core Spectrum Technology. Honestly, I don’t taste much of the terpenes, it doesn’t have that heavy weed taste like a few of the full spectrum tinctures I’ve tried.
There isn’t much of a difference between their broad and full spectrum tinctures in terms of flavor, but the full spectrum one has slightly more noticeable effects. It’s amazing how much of a difference that tiny amount of THC can have on the experience.
I think they should really have a label on the bottle saying “not suitable for vaping” since it looks almost identical to their CBD e-liquid bottles. If you’re looking for a clean tasting and effective tincture that doesn’t taste like cannabis, check out Avida’s CBD tinctures.
Avida currently offers two MCT-oil based tinctures. Their full spectrum oil contains less than 0.3% THC and their broad spectrum oil is THC free. Both feature CORE Spectrum technology, a proprietary blend of phyto cannabinoids, terpenes and spearmint extract. They are BPA free, gluten-free and third party lab tested.
I recently had the chance to try Avida’s broad spectrum CBD gummies. They come in an attractive container with strawberries on it that says “Relax”. The gummies contain 10 mg of CBD each, and 360 mg in total. Avida offers lab test results for every batch they make, which can be accessed on their website. The gummies are not only 100% organic but are also vegan, kosher, soy and nut free, non-GMO and THC-free! They are square shaped and lightly sprinkled with organic cane sugar.
I started with two gummies, which is the recommended serving size. They were so tasty, I had to stop myself from eating the whole container. I didn’t really notice a weed taste with them, even though they contain broad spectrum CBD. Avida claims that their gummies utilize their signature blend of Core Broad Spectrum CBD oil, so the effects are similar to their broad spectrum CBD oil tinctures. If you’re looking for a CBD gummy that contains more than just CBD isolate and doesn’t taste like weed, Avida Relax gummies are a perfect option. I could easily put them among the best CBD gummies I have tried so far.
(Update for new flavors)
When I first reviewed Avida CBD gummies, they only had one flavor–strawberry. I still enjoy their strawberry gummies but I have recently tried a few of their new flavors including orange, vanilla and raspberry. I would say raspberry is my current favorite–it’s a nice change of pace from the strawberry ones. The vanilla gummies have a nice creamy vanilla flavor to them and the orange ones taste just like an orange popsicle. Other than that, they are the same as the strawberry. Chewy little cubes infused with 10 mg CBD each, and dusted with cane sugar. If you like their CBD gummies, you’ll probably enjoy their new ones. If you’ve never tried them yet, now you have four different options to choose from.
Avida CBD Relax gummies are made with natural fruit flavoring. They’re organic and contain zero gelatin, preservatives, or artificial flavors. Each container includes 36 gummies, with 10 mg each, or 360 mg CBD in total. They’re formulated with orange peels, sweetened with cane sugar and tested by independent labs. Price per mg: $0.12
Avida CBD vape juice, disposables, gummies and oils seem to be premium quality, which is only confirmed by their lab test reports. Avida seems to stick with popular fruit and candy inspired themes for their e-liquids. Berry Grape happened to be my favorite of the line, with Blue Razz in a close second place. All of their e-liquid flavors tend to be a bit sweeter than the other CBD brands I’ve tried, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
I couldn’t really find any major issues with their products. The ingredients are top notch and the vape juice flavors are well-crafted. Their CBD oils had a pleasant taste and their gummies were straight up delicious. Overall, I would recommend Avida to anybody looking for CBD vape juice with flavors that really pop. And if you don’t vape, they also offer some awesome CBD oil tinctures and gummies too. Have you tried Avida CBD yet? What was your experience like?
Great article. My boss just picked up the avida line at our shop. I couldn’t agree more. The flavors are super sweet if you tincture them. But vaping them is a whole other story, they are amazing. We carry the top 10 brands in our shop and no ones flavors come close, and that’s not just my opinion, everyone that has sampled them walks out with a bottle. I just wish they were cheaper. I’ll go broke trying vape cbd all day.
Hey Jacob! Thanks, I’m glad you enjoyed the review. I could see it being a bit too sweet for people who take it orally but this stuff is made for vaping! I have been using pod vapes and tanks with smaller coils to conserve e-juice because I agree CBD in general isn’t cheap, but totally worth it, especially when you find a brand you trust.
Awesome! Way to go vaping 360. I’ve been telling everyone about the Avida line. Flavors are amazing and it works wonders for my anxiety. I haven’t tried the grape but I’ll definitely be buying that next.
Thanks Riley! I appreciate the kind words. Cool! I think you will like that one, it was my favorite.
It didnt agree with me. Im discontinuing it. I end uo vomiting and nausea in my stomach. I do not wish to continue anymore. Cancelled all orders . It made me sick. Nevertheless i believe it shouldn’t bemixed;taken by itself and not with rx meds.
Hey Becky, I’m very sorry to hear that. Are you currently taking prescription medication? That might be the reason for your experience. If you are taking CBD oil with meds, it’s always best to talk to your doctor about it first to check for any possible interactions with your prescriptions. Best of luck to you!
I’ve been vaping avida blue razz for the past month and I can’t believe the results I’ve been experiencing. Before trying cbd, I couldn’t tell you the last time i had a full night sleep without tossing and turning all night, but this month I finally got my sleep back. I agree, definitely too sweet for me to use as a tincture. But my roomie loves to lick the pipette dry. I can’t wait until they release their tinctures, patiently waiting. #teamnosweets
Hey Hailey! That’s awesome, I’m so glad CBD has helped you improve your sleep. Yes, that seems to be the general consensus so far, they taste very sweet in your mouth, but they are pretty well balanced for vaping. I have a good feeling about their tinctures too, and I’m guessing they will be even less on the sweet side.
We started carrying these in the shop right after we received our samples. We’ve tried so many vapeable CBD products on the market and they all tasted horrible. Avida, however, dismissed our thought of “all cbd vape flavors suck”. Now, don’t get me wrong, they’re not what you’d consider premium ejuices. They still have that CBD-esque aftertaste, but it’s nowhere nearly as bad as former flavors we’ve tried. They’re actually delightful to use. You can mix them with your current ejuice with nicotine and offset the CBD aftertaste. Highly suggest you give these a try.
Hey Chris, thanks for sharing. Avida is definitely one of the more palatable CBD e-juices I’ve tried recently. The flavorless one mixes really well with my 0 mg e-liquids. There are a few other good ones on our best CBD vape juice page that you should check out too.
Can anyone tell me how well this helps with their anxiety??
Many people report, and research shows, that CBD can help with anxiety. That’s not a brand-specific phenomenon.
